cHawk Community Moderator Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 If there's one thing Lopez is doing well, it's that he's stranding runners.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 How are we ever going to score two runs
Rik19753 Verified Member Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 Umpires are tremendously stubborn in most cases, but in Yankees games they give into everything it drives me crazy. First the German fiasco, now the Rizzo HBP. The ump didn't see the HBP but when Rizzo tells him he instantly changes his mind. Never does that happen in other games.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 This ump is having a tough day

Doctor Gast Verified Member Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 Let's go Twins! Sock it to the Yanks & Cole.

cHawk Community Moderator Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 Forget scoring any runs, we can't even manage a single baserunner.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 Good grief. Buxton bruuuutal now
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 Just horrendous at the plate today.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 Again...we look like we're playing defense when we step to the plate. BTW, the umpiring has nothing to do with that.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 I wish Thursday and Friday’s vibes would come back. This is looking more like the last 22 years
RpR Verified Member Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 Who ever is on the bench, maybe time to bring them in, cannot be worse.

CRF Verified Member Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 My God...we look abysmal at the plate. Yesterday carried over to today. We might not get a hit, much less score.

No hits, completely overmatched. And this isn't our B-squad. This is the best lineup the Twins can generate. Games like yesterday and today are unwatchable baseball. I can see it happening once every couple of weeks, but this is back-to-back games of getting no-hit for the first half of each game. Horrific. Buxton has really regressed. Dude needs to get his head right, he's just lost right now.

Tune in to one of their games on MLB.tv if you have it, for a 50/50 shot at a completely unwatchable game. Today's game is hard for a Twins fan to stomach but is pretty crisply played.
