If there's one thing Lopez is doing well, it's that he's stranding runners.

Umpires are tremendously stubborn in most cases, but in Yankees games they give into everything it drives me crazy.

First the German fiasco, now the Rizzo HBP. The ump didn't see the HBP but when Rizzo tells him he instantly changes his mind. Never does that happen in other games.

The Twins seem to be playing defense both in the top half and bottom half of innings

Yeah.  So much for my fear/theory that the umps might squeeze Lopez here and there, in response to Rocco yesterday wanting to be a stickler for the rules.

Same ump, who started the B.S. Yesterday

How are we ever going to score two runs

Can we petition for the Twins to have the Manfred Man at second base every inning from here on?

I like the chances of scoring 2 a lot more than the chances 2 is enough.

That still might not be enough help.  I think we'll be lucky to avoid being shut out.

Again...we look like we're playing defense when we step to the plate.

BTW, the umpiring has nothing to do with that.

I wish Thursday and Friday’s vibes would come back. This is looking more like the last 22 years

Who ever is on the bench, maybe time to bring them in, cannot be worse.

Forget scoring any runs, we can't even manage a single baserunner.

Larnach walked, and was immediately erased. Cole's faced the minimum.

Not really, the last 22 years the Yankee hitters have been destroying Twins pitching.

My God...we look abysmal at the plate. Yesterday carried over to today. We might not get a hit, much less score.

MAT looked like he'd made up his mind to swing at the first pitch as Cole entered the windup.

I just love all the optimism on this thread.

I think it is a matter of how quickly, few pitches, Twins batters strike out.

Just horrendous at the plate today.

Carbon copy of the first 5 innings yesterday. No hits, completely overmatched.

And this isn't our B-squad. This is the best lineup the Twins can generate.

Games like yesterday and today are unwatchable baseball. I can see it happening once every couple of weeks, but this is back-to-back games of getting no-hit for the first half of each game. Horrific.

Buxton has really regressed. Dude needs to get his head right, he's just lost right now.

7 runs in the past 30 innings since the barrage in the first inning Thursday

I'm on an Oakland A's kick at present.  Tune in to one of their games on MLB.tv if you have it, for a 50/50 shot at a completely unwatchable game. :)  Today's game is hard for a Twins fan to stomach but is pretty crisply played.
