USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 I had this really weird dream last night. I was virtually weightless...I weighed less than a thousandth of a gram. When i woke up I was like "0mg!"

I have no idea as to whether german was using anything, but he had a ton of movement on all his pitches today. And we can go back a couple years when Donaldson called out Cole and soon thereafter Coles spin rate dropped dramatically afterwards.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 Arrgh. (This applies to both the GIDP and Chief's latest masterpiece.)
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 I knew banning the shift would be a big help to Kep!

jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 I really wish I knew why Kepler has turned into a hitting-into-double-play machine. He didn't pound the ball into the dirt anywhere near so much earlier in his career. There is no value in Kepler keeping the ball on the ground. Even if he flies out to right field, there's a chance that a guy on third can score. This is worse than being a hole in the lineup, it's more like a land mine.

Kepler hasn't mastered hitting the bottom half of the ball, like a lot of power hitter have. As a result he hits the top half or rolls over on the ;pitch, making him a prime candidate for hitting ground balls.

IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 Gladden reports that he stepped out for a break and a Yankee official told him that German’s spin rate was up significantly today.
Kummel Verified Member Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 Yeah, I thought he said German's spin rate was "through the roof" or words to that effect.
rwilfong86 Verified Member Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 No sweep, at worst a split, at best take 3/4.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 Alcala hasn't looked good at all this year. Results haven't been bad, but velo down and command spotty.

MLB umps are incredibly good at their job. Easily the best officiating of any of the 4 major sports. Miles better than NFL and NBA. To be fair, I have no idea how good WWE referees are.
