Who is NOT in the plans MOST for 2023. At some point both Hamiltons will be removed. Strotman, since he hasn't made it to the majors, is basically taking up a space. Contreras is behind ALL the other outfielders. On the major league roster Sanchez, Megill and Pagan have to be walking on egg-shells. Pagan is probably safe because there is still belief that he can perform, or they want something left from the Padres trade (although Paddock will be back).

Would NOW be the time to try and pass Balazovic or Enlow, for example, thru waivers? Henriquez, too, is on the bubble...but he is still young and has shown promise as a bullpen arm.

After they outright Randy Dobnak to AAA (nobody will want to pay the $7M they still owe him). and release Austin Davis.

Taylor Rogers...he can't get anyone out.

It is sad. Pagan has been an asset the 2nd half of the year compared to Rogers. Rogers has allowed 15 runs in his last 17 innings. I don't think he'll get a major league contract as a free agent.

Looks like it’s Jake Jewell

Dang it!  From the late surge in voting I thought it would be "Dude, you can't change your poll every time some slack-jawed fringy poster makes a suggestion."  The Twins went conservative yet again!

I did close the poll when I posted that …

maybe, but then whose 28-man roster spot does Varland take? Moran? (can he be optioned again?)

As it turns out, he's the temporary #29 call-up for this double header.  Maybe he gets the same for an upcoming double header too.  In other words, they kick this particular can down the road.

Maybe they're do a temporary un-retirement of Carew's uniform #29 and assign him that too. :)

It was set to close automatically pretty soon anyway, but thanks.  We wouldn't want the sanctity of this poll violated by any slack-jawed yahoos trying to make a joke.

I assume Pagan and Sanchez are both out of options, so I would lean toward it being one of them.

Davis? Idk if he has options I'm too lazy to look it up, but that'd keep them at 14 pitchers.

I'd imagine Sanchez has some value as a long relief/piggyback with the double header today. I certainly would've loved to see Pagan go.

Jewel was dfa'd for varlands 40 man  roster spot ....

Austin Davis  should be the one dfa'd  for varlands 28 man roster spot ...

He was terrible in last night's game , no control , walks will haunt  ....

Verlander may need to fill Gray's spot in the rotation because of a tight hamstring. They will be watching that with his start tonight. If it is my choice I would DFA Pagan first and Magill second.

Does anyone know where Varland is right now? He pitched on the 7th and as far as I can tell hasn’t pitched anywhere since.
Rocco cannot still be under the assumption that Archer is better, right?

I am guessing Varland will be one of the TBD pitchers on Saturday. They probably had him throw a bullpen but not actually pitch for St. Paul.

Whether Rocco thinks Archer is good, bad, or indifferent, Rocco cannot still be under the assumption that Archer is not on the 15-day IL. :)

Archer is on the 15-day IL. Varland will likely be the double-header addition.

Thanks for pointing this out. Had no idea he was on the IL. Saw no writers mention it at all the past few days. Seems like most Twins writers have checked out at this point

If I were interested in creating valid polls I'd be working for Gallup.

/ Also I would have omitted the editorial comment about Pagan. :)

A recent Gallup Poll revealed that 84% of 1,000 random respondents didn't trust Gallup Polls.

Your is much better because there is no danger of a Cheetos Lip Gloss product launch afterwards.
