RickOShea Verified Member Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 Got to hand it to Megill. He very rarely shows dominance. He has to walk someone, or give up a hit to feel comfortable.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 Seems to me the third time through, hitters do better, whether they’re facing the starter or not
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 I have a bad feeling about this

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 Literally only one guy can beat you in this entire lineup.
Danchat Verified Member Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 I was about to post 'I have a feeling Megill gives up a run this inning', but looks like I was too late.
rwilfong86 Verified Member Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 Missed opportunities and then the 2 run bomb
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 Why do teams pitch to judge? Just put him on and move on with your day.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 Just an awful hanging pitch
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 Earlier I said just walk Judge every time he comes up. I stand by that comment.
peterukavina Verified Member Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 Paint, paint (strike!), paint, paint, oh crap 3-1, man on first nobody down, meatball, oh crap, that was aaron judge...
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 Megill with a career whip over 1.5, shouldn’t be surprising
RickOShea Verified Member Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 1. Not Megill's best pitch 2. Hitter's count 3. Center cut 4. Judge's ability 5. Rare time a Twins' reliever doesn't issue a walk Result: Freeze, Gopher!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RickOShea Verified Member Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 Does Megill know what a 'corner' is?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 If we give judge anything to hit for the rest of the series, we deserve everything we get
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 b4 Yanks came up, was thinking who do we go to ?. 1st choice was Jax he threw what 8-9 pitches yesterday, , Tie game made the choice for me, Mc,gill was my 4 th choice
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 Pagan warming up. Rocco should have saved him for judge.
gil4 Verified Member Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 Just now, Aggies7 said: Pagan warming lol Gonna throw some BP so they stay hot tomorrow.

RickOShea Verified Member Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 You know, maybe flipping Judge, might just stir things up. we need an increase in blood flow. We seem too meek, and we may need a little swagger ( even if false) just to put some pressure on.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 25 pitches and 2 runs allowed, would Archer have done worse? I doubt it, this 5 innings then pull the starter strategy has been a failure
Azviking101 Verified Member Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 Hard to believe Rocco’s spreadsheets didn’t say “pitch around Judge with men on”
howeda7 Verified Member Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 When will this fascination with Megill end? He's not good. He throws hard. So what? So does Pagan. Give me Moran or even Sisk, Winder, or Peacock from St. Paul first.

insagt1 Verified Member Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 This is all so predictable. I hate games like this.
Beast Verified Member Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 Megill seems to have given at least one run in every appearance since the All Star break. Do we not have anyone better in the minors? They always stuck with these guys for way too long. Not sure who else was available, but maybe don’t give the best hitter on the planet right now a shot at one of your worst bullpen arms in a tie game?
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 1 minute ago, Aggies7 said: I think you have to take your chances with archer when the alternative is megilla gorilla 3rd time through, 1st batter hits, 2nd batter hits a home run is the worst possible scenario. Let your starters go 6, especially when they’re pitching well. A lot easier to manage the bullpen the last three innings than the last four
