USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 30, 2022 Posted May 30, 2022 Let's leave former Secretarys of State and European nations invaded by Russia out of the game thread. Maybe take it to the Jeopardy board. Kthanks.

RpR Verified Member Posted May 30, 2022 Posted May 30, 2022 Twins are performing like they are still playing the Royals. Bad feeling about when they face the Yankees.
Rosterman Verified Member Posted May 30, 2022 Posted May 30, 2022 The Twins do have a solid bench for this game!
Azviking101 Verified Member Posted May 30, 2022 Posted May 30, 2022 With the current state of the bullpen and rotation the bats are really going to have to show up over the next 2 weeks or this team could lose a lot of games.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 30, 2022 Author Posted May 30, 2022 2 whole innings to go. A tad premature on the doom. But you are entitled to be as gloomy as you wish.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 30, 2022 Posted May 30, 2022 Yeah, someone mentioned it earlier but don't have good Vibes about this road trip. At all. Starting it with Buxton and Correa on the bench because...why again?...not something I agree with.

RpR Verified Member Posted May 30, 2022 Posted May 30, 2022 If they can return to the days when the Yankees were just another team, THAT, will probably set a tone for the rest of the season.

Montdak Verified Member Posted May 30, 2022 Posted May 30, 2022 The key moment in this Memorial Day game was Sanchez running Schoop back to third. If he had the ball in his mitt instead of his bare hand he could have tagged Schoop out when he flopped out of bounds. Instead he had to turn his body way around to make the tag.
RpR Verified Member Posted May 30, 2022 Posted May 30, 2022 Larnach has had a good bat, now its time to take it to the Tigers.

And Miranda making an ill advised throw when he should have just held onto that ball
rwilfong86 Verified Member Posted May 30, 2022 Posted May 30, 2022 Gah I wish these guys would stop swinging at the first pitch
TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2022 Posted May 30, 2022 Miranda absolutely should have tried for the 3rd out just like Torkelson just did. He just needs to make the throw. Eating it makes absolutely no sense.

I guess Torkelson showed Miranda how to make the play that Miranda didn't that would have gotten the Twins out of that inning with the score tied at 4 in the 7th. That is the key play in my book. Torkelson was the batter for Miranda's gaff and Miranda was the batter for Torkelson's get.
