h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 Buxton taking the day off? 6 pitches. No swings. Worked out this time.
mnfireman Verified Member Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 Buxton takes 6 pitches and walks, and Correa GIDP on a ball up and in....SMH

h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 After all that, Greinke tossing a no-hitter after 1.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 I liked KC’s lineup yesterday. I’d like it even better with Santana out of their lineup.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 I just remembered, when Zack Greinke became a finesse pitcher, he learned how to throw a cutter from the master himself, Greg Maddux. See how he played with the outside line with Arraez? I could see Luis commenting on it to the umpire. Greinke was placing the ball within about a centimeter of where he wanted it. After he got two calls on the edge, the next one was six inches outside. Of course!

Pitches he was giving to Grienke as strikes have been balls for Gray on several occasions through 2 innings.

PDX Twin Verified Member Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 Looks like Lewis has been watching Buxton wrt self-preservation.
CRF Verified Member Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 GREAT catch by Lewis in CF. Hopefully, he's ok.
rwilfong86 Verified Member Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 Shocked Royce held onto the ball after that collision.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 The thing that strikes me about Lewis is how big and strong he is. Not smiling on the way to the dugout. He may be a bit more shaken up than it appeared after colliding with the wall.

Schmoeman5 Verified Member Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 I'm not seeing this big discrepancy on balls and strikes
bighat Verified Member Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 You know it's another ho-hum game for the offense when Dick starts trying to pump up the audience when a guy "just missed his pitch" or "was right on a pitch and fouled it straight back". Grienke's out there throwing 76 MPH. Wake me up when they hit one out of the park.

rwilfong86 Verified Member Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 Looks like Gordon is replacing Royce as well, hopefully just precautionary
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 Well i enjoyed the video of Lewis talking about running into the wall , More than seeing it, Lets hope its nothing !!
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 Jeffers is giving signs when nobody is on base. I’ve seen a couple of veteran pitchers that prefer that approach, but switch to the pitch-com when a runner can peek at signs. Grienke might be doing the same thing
