Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted May 25, 2022 Posted May 25, 2022 Yuck, hate to see Ryan go down but in the long run, getting some rest might be good for him.

Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2022 Posted May 25, 2022 There's no good long run to Covid..... This is why they traded for Paddack.....they have ONE guy in AAA left at this point.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2022 Posted May 25, 2022 We need more threads about this for sure.

Ronny Henriquez is also a starter on the 40-man. Any could be good for a spot start (like for that double-header coming up). Still have Moran to come into the bullpen at some point.

The depth is being tested, at least for Joe it will likely only be a single start that will be affected. If we have another injury in the near term then it begins to get difficult.
TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2022 Posted May 26, 2022 Yeah, this team's starting depth is going to get really precarious here. How close might Balazovic be to getting a look? They've been aggressive promoting guys.
waltomeal Verified Member Posted May 26, 2022 Posted May 26, 2022 I'm ready to go on Monday. Just need a couple of sessions to get the ol' knuckler back.
big dog Verified Member Posted May 26, 2022 Posted May 26, 2022 Starting Jax weakens both the rotation and the bullpen. No thanks.
mikelink45 Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2022 Posted May 26, 2022 Having just gotten covid, if he has my symptoms he is not going to get rest. Good luck Joe, I hope it is a case of not symptoms.
rwilfong86 Verified Member Posted May 26, 2022 Posted May 26, 2022 Smeltzer has pitched well, and they're playing the Royals so hopefully it won't be too bad of a situation.
