The loss is not a huge deal since they snatched a couple wins the last week that we'd usually lose, but I'm still concerned about the offense. We've got to get Lewis back up in the lineup. I'm still thinking the bats will come around, but the concern is definitely growing.

Buxton will get better. Larnach will outhit what they were getting from Gordon. Jeffers is the only real weak link at this point, and he's not that weak compared to all the catchers.

And against bad teams.

So..... normal to weakly pop out foul with bases loaded and two outs for the final out in the 10th on a pitch outside the zone that you could have taken and seen another that you might like better with a 2-1 count? Right after you took a great 91 mph non-sinking sinker to hit right down the middle in a lefty righty desired matchup. OK. Normal it is. You can have normal if you like. I guess it is kinda normal for the Twins to come up empty with the bases loaded and no outs. It seems to be happening a lot this year so far.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 25, 2022 Posted May 25, 2022 Sánchez has a nice run for a couple weeks, less so in the last week.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 25, 2022 Posted May 25, 2022 I gave you guys the opportunity to send me to this, and all future games. Nobody could be bothered. SEE what happens? Hhhhmmmmm???
Rosterman Verified Member Posted May 25, 2022 Posted May 25, 2022 Well, thankfully not a lot of guys on base for the other team when they hit THREE homers. Provus on the radio sounded like he was going to have a panic attack when Correa was hit on the knob of the bat (thought it was the hand). Bases-loaded. No outs. Against a bad team. With some of your better batters. Baseball is one strange game. And let's stop with the runner on second thing.
Schmoeman5 Verified Member Posted May 25, 2022 Posted May 25, 2022 Bad loss today. Need each and every winnable game. Lots of question marks regarding today's loss

Yes, but you should usually win games where your pitchers only give up 3 earned runs in 10 innings, especially when you have the bases loaded 0 outs in the 10th inning.

Which ones are you referencing?
