Game Thread: Twins v Tigers, 5/25 @ 12:10 local time

Hello Game Thread viewers, it's currently raining here in Minneapolis and slated to continue to rain forever, I'm told.  The accuracy of that forecast remains to be seen, but we'll keep going with the forging ahead regardless!

The Tigers are still in town, having been twice beaten this series already.  The Twins have been a decidedly un-Minnesotan-esque host for them so far, and I don't think any of us here mind.  In fact, I imagine that we hope that the unniceness continues.  The squad maintains a 5.5 game lead in the division over those Pale Hose of Chicago and hope to add to it today.  

I'm not sure why, but this game is being broadcast on Youtube today.  I guess this game was determined to be more interesting than the Rockies/Pirates tilt.  This is great news for those of us cord cutters that never get to watch the local squad.  Though, I'll be one of those suckers at work that can't benefit anyway.  So, I hope those that can enjoy do actually enjoy it.  Know that I'll be with you in spirit...and following on the radio.

Enough of my aimless wandering babble.  The Tigers will start a right handed slinging pitcher by the name of Rony Garcia, who has a solid 0-0 record.  The Twins will counter with a right handed slinger of pitches of their own in Dylan Bundy, who sports a 3-2 record.

Hope they play, but it's not looking good right now. Keeping the fingers crossed.

Weather.com shows dropping off to a 35 percent chance of rain by 1 p.m. and then to 15 percent by 3 and later. Accuweather keeps it at 75 percent for most of the afternoon. I guess we'll have a data point on the question of which is more accurate.

Futurescans look promising after 3-4pm.  I think they'll get it in if it holds

Just took a look at the radar...it's about 10:45 am currently. I'm in the south metro. There's going to be a break in the rain in about 30 min or so. Looks like it possibly could be somewhat dry for a few hours. It's windy as all hell though. The conditions won't be great, but there's a chance they could get the game in...or at least give it a go.

Same.  It hasn't rained hard, so the field is probably playable too.

Just saw a report according to Rocco...Polanco is dealing with some right ankle soreness. Supposedly nothing real serious, but the Roc wants him to have a few days off.

Surprised that Jorge is out for two days in a row. The Twins do have 2B depth--Miranda said once the second is his preferred position, although he hasn't played there much in the last year and a half.

It was on and just a color commentary, YouTube is staying live at Target Field. They are now showing other baseball stuff.
