Is there a good reason for Cave to be playing at this point of a lost season?

To try and prove that getting rid of Lamont Wade wasn't a bad idea, perhaps?

If that really is the plan, here's a special message just for the Twins front office, as portrayed by the late, great John Candy...

I know the percentage of right vs left is present, but Gordon has had far more at bats recently at the MLB level.  Gordon is much faster that Astudillo, and I think Gordon has a higher on-base IQ.  I leave Gordon hit and save Astudillo.

Plus, in a season like this, you just have to give the young guy the at bat, just because

How is Astudillo even on this team?

Maybe because his batting average is 100 points higher than Rooker or Celestino?

No future for Astudillo. This is baseball, not the Harlem Globetrotters playing the Washington Generals.

They just flashed a stat... Schoop is batting almost .700 against releavers over his recent hitting streak?!

Maybe they could trade Arraez and Larnach for Schoop?

So just a shade under what batter have been hitting in late/close situations against the Twins bullpen.

I wasn't expecting Sano to strike out there! ;)

Yeah, I'm looking for a pen to sign the deed to my house.

In four years he has .280  batting average

12 home runs and 58 rbi

According to Baseball Reference.

In three years Arraez has .322 batting average

5 home runs and 64 rbi.

As Willians only played in 8 games last year, those can be considered a 3 year average.

What is your point?

Like him if you want. I can't wait to see him gone. And watch the novelty on another team.
