If that really is the plan, here's a special message just for the Twins front office, as portrayed by the late, great John Candy...

Gordon is much faster that Astudillo, and I think Gordon has a higher on-base IQ. I leave Gordon hit and save Astudillo. Plus, in a season like this, you just have to give the young guy the at bat, just because

h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2021 Posted July 27, 2021 The Box shows that Maeda is substituted for Garver. That means we have lost Garver's bat, too.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted July 27, 2021 Posted July 27, 2021 I hope little leaguers are watching how the Twins are advancing runners.

jun Verified Member Posted July 27, 2021 Posted July 27, 2021 Cave needs to be let go. I have no interest in seeing him in Twins uniform.

In four years he has .280 batting average 12 home runs and 58 rbi According to Baseball Reference. In three years Arraez has .322 batting average 5 home runs and 64 rbi. As Willians only played in 8 games last year, those can be considered a 3 year average. What is your point?
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2021 Posted July 27, 2021 It's all on the manager. Baldelli wins game with great managing.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted July 27, 2021 Posted July 27, 2021 All that effort and work, just to beat the Tigers. Oh, how the mighty have fallen.
