True story.  At the coffee shop on Cape Cod this afternoon I was unclear whether the process for ordering was automated so I asked the unnaturally mellow young woman behind the counter whether I should do the video screen.  "You can do me," she said.  Mrs Ash was with me at the time so I maintained what I think to be a pretty good poker face and asked for a danish and black coffee. True story.

It's a real credit to Pinieda that it hasn't been until just now in the 5th inning that the usual "doomed to lose to the Yankees" feeling finally started to hit me.
