mikelink45 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 Hoping we luck out, Berrios was great, but Robles is our second best RP - it does not feel good. But we are playing against the Orioles

SanoMustGo Verified Member Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 ok, one more out...set us up for the kill...LOL
mikelink45 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 So lucky we are playing Baltimore - the Twins have struck out 14 times.
SanoMustGo Verified Member Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 where would this team be without Baltimore?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 Not sure if Rocco is a religious man, but he’d better say his prayers tonight
mikelink45 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 Berrios going into the ninth was great - that is the best news of this game. Watching the RP it is obvious that we need the starters to go longer.
howeda7 Verified Member Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 Never a doubt. Rocco and Robles. The Ice Water duo. ?
Randy Griffith Verified Member Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 So, honest here, I just played taps on my front porch, then came in to see the Twins had actually finished the game the right way. Woo Hoo!

bighat Verified Member Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 More like chicken noodle, but we'll take it.
SanoMustGo Verified Member Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 are they popping champaign in the clubhouse right now?
bighat Verified Member Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 How the offense couldn't score more than one run off the worst starter on MLB's worst team is a new low for the bats.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 Wins like that are great confidence builders
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 Teams like KC and Cleveland have won their share of games like this. The Twins have not. They have to win games like this against more than the Orioles.

Champagne, no, but I hope they are enjoying the win. Good to see Simmons have his arm around Polanco's shoulder after the last out. I don't want to think the mood in the clubhouse is totally sour this early in a season.

insagt1 Verified Member Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 Good news....a win. Actually, thats always the best news. Good news...Donaldson finally had a decent day...way overdue. Good news...Berrios and Rogers were great. Sorta good news....Robles came thru after giving up that quick run. Bad news...Sano is back in the tank again. Can't hit the broad side of a barn. Looking real April=ish at the plate. I don't know if we can absorb all these 30-40 AB's with more than half of them k's and nearly none of the others hits. Bad news....14 more k's for the Twins against a team that has lost its way completely. Bad news--Cruz is not lookin good anymore. In fact he is lookin real bad. I wonder if he makes it to the trade deadline. He lost his stroke at the end of last season....seemed to get it back in April...but has looked every bit of his 40 years in May.
