And posters chastised those of us that predicted the "long season" when they were blowing the first games. We called it.

I do remember being chastized for suggesting Keuchel would be a good signing

Gladden just made a really stupid statement - every team has a game like this during the season - does he realize how many of these games we have had?

Ability to shut down the current iteration of the Twins "offense" is hardly a good indication of a pitcher's overall effectiveness.

Dick helpfully notes that this will be Chicago's 25th win vs 25 losses at the moment for the Twins, thus delighting symmetry fans everywhere.

Can we talk about how the last starting pitcher (besides berrios) that the twins successfully developed was Matt Garza?

Don’t bet on it. The GMs would have to fire themselves if they were to fire Rocco. Their fingerprints are all over this nightmare

I don’t even blame the broadcast commentators for saying dumb stuff at this point. They can’t just shut the tv off like we can. Their brains have to be fried

Gibson was good for like 1.5 years out of 6!

This is a huge relief, because... and I really hate to admit this...  I was starting to think that the problem might be that the Twins are bad.

At least we have proven that all the Twins RP signings are equal quality.  Some have done it in AAA so that they did not even need to get to MLB to show their value.

The FO has got to do something, even if it's wrong.  They can't let the fans think that this is acceptable in any way, shape or form.  There needs to be a shake-up, large or small, to at least  show the fans some signs of life in the Twins owners box.

Can you imagine having to make an interesting presentation every night during this nightmare?

Rock bottom just keeps getting lower and lower.

No pride, no fight, no heart, no talent.

There really need to be major moves made after this game. If not now, when? Of course the problem is that there are no moves to make....

I think this only gets worse.

For context, I honestly think Gladden is saying this tongue-in-cheek

Nice take.  Don't wanna seem to anxious.  Now the choker, Donaldson smacks a homer.  Clutch blow, what a smash.  Now that cuts the deficit  to 9!!!!!!!!!!  This guy is awesome.

Since it's unlikely the Twins have a postseason in their near future, here's something else to look forward to instead...

It has more to do with the Twins not filling out a rotation. Keuchel would look better than Shoemaker in this rotation, and also Happ, unfortunately, though I didn’t mind the Happ signing. And I personally think Pineda is always an injury/performance/suspension risk.

I always thought Donaldson was a gamer.  I thought he was a smart aleck kind of guy.  Truth be known, he's a bonafide MLB choker.  He's a poser of the highest degree.
