I like the pitching but the hitting? I’m a little concerned. AK and Arraez getting injured won’t help either.

Cave needs to go.

Why he’s on the roster and not Broxton/Larnach is beyond me

Gibby has been really impressive tonight. This isn't the Twins 'A' lineup, but still a good one. A complaint when he pitched for the Twins was that he was too "nibbly" but we haven't seen a ton of that tonight. Instead of being off the plate, he's been right at the edge of it, and the slider looks better than I ever remember. He'll be a nice piece for the Rangers at the deadline.

Gibson says bite me. Nibbling my ass. 91 pitches in 7 complete with only 3 hits and 2 walks and 7 Ks. If Gibson had had robots calling balls and strikes here it would have been to his advantage. Umpires seemed to miss a ton of his edge pitches.

The difference between good Gibson and bad Gibson is often the difference between nibbling and hitting the black.

I have no ill will toward the guy but I’m glad I don’t have to watch him pitch regularly anymore.

Duffey.... the new Colome.

No way is he anywhere close to as bad as Colome.

Damn. Gallo homers off Rogers his last at bat, and we bring him in to pitch to him again. I guess the spread sheet left that out.

I don't disagree at all. He was frustrating when watching him pitch 30 times a year, but only showed up like this 10 times a year. He's been good this year besides his first start. I wouldn't be opposed to kicking the tires of Shoemaker has another 3 or 4 bad starts. Seems like he's really good in the clubhouse from what people say

Gibson had some good runs with the Twins and at least one incredible run (2015, maybe?). He’s done this before and when it’s on, his slider is quite good.

And I’ve never heard anyone say anything but nice things about Gibson. Apparently he’s a really good dude.

Nice adjustment by Rogers after last night. No sense in throwing Gallo a fastball if he's going to swing at 4/5 sliders away. (That check swing was a swing)

Damn Rogers was nibbling that whole at bat......

He was hitting exactly where he needed to.

Gallo actually has a higher OPS vs lefties rather than righties in his career, though his K% rate is 41% vs lefties and 36% vs righties. Also has a 7% HR rate vs a 4.3% HR rate vs L/R. Weird splits.

That’s nuts and incredibly rare from a LHB.

Man, Kepler just does not look like himself. I can't remember him squaring anything up this year. Hard to know what the lineup should look like without Arraez, and there isn't a clear leadoff option, but I'm not sure he's the answer

Hot take: Buck is really good. Must see TV at this point. His fielding is almost getting overlooked but he has saved multiple runs lately. His speed puts so much pressure on the other team it is no wonder the Twins record is so much better when he is playing. I also think a lot of his value isn’t captured in stats.
