Game Thread: Twins @ Detroit, 12:10PM, 4/5/21

[USAFChief]

Cyborg.

[operation mindcrime]

CRUZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[Brock Beauchamp]

Seriously, Cruz.

[MVP Nick Punto]

That wasn't a Cruz missile; that was an ICBM.

[TFRazor]

Has it landed yet?

[Brock Beauchamp]

Bold assertion now that 10th innings start with a runner on second.

Unexpectedly, I quite like the runner on second rule, though it should probably start in the eleventh inning.

[USAFChief]

I fully expect age to catch up with Cruz. He won't see a major league pitch at age 50.

[MNT1996]

Get Cruz some pitching lessons before this team reaches the World Series, please

[Sielk]

No wonder Cruz resigned with the Twins. He wanted those 19 games against the Tigers to pad his stats.

Cruz is an absolute monster.

[Mill1634]

Hardest Twins homer ever tracked by statcast. 116.6

[Mill1634]

oh...PTC...Nelly goes boom

guys...I'm on the way to buy a lottery ticket. I'll let you know my numbers soon

[twinbythebay]

"Phillipe Phillope"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA

OOOOOOH THAT'A A GOOD ONE!!!1!

I thought you were going to go with some sort of "choux-maker" pun, but I couldn't quite work it out. But this certainly falls into the acceptable dad joke category.

Or the 12th.

[operation mindcrime]

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Simmoms!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[USAFChief]

Look at Sano's wheels!!

[operation mindcrime]

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Astudillo!!!!!!!

[Mill1634]

S/o to the Twins for cashing my over single handily in the 5th inning

[USAFChief]

Cool. Now with the 10 run rule Shoemaker will get credit for a complete game W after the bottom of the 5th.

[Brock Beauchamp]

Or the 12th.

Also fine.

[operation mindcrime]

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Simmoms!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Simmons!!!!

[MNT1996]

Polanco saving Detroit the embarrassment of having Cruz homer twice in the inning. I can respect it.

[twins1095]

Is Arraez okay or did they just take him out because of the blowout?

[jimbo92107]

Okay, now I'm starting to relax...

Everybody is hitting.

If you know somebody from Detroit, be sure to thank them.

[USAFChief]

Is Arraez okay or did they just take him out because of the blowout?

No.

[twins1095]

No.

What happened to him? Serious injury?

[USAFChief]

What happened to him? Serious injury?

He hurt himself taking a walk.

[twins1095]

He hurt himself taking a walk.

How does that happen? Do we know what the injury is?

[USAFChief]

No hitter GONE!!!1!

[USAFChief]

Shoemaker getting SHELLED!!1!

[glunn]

He hurt himself taking a walk.
