Don Walcott Verified Member Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 This MUST be a new 9th inning tradition. My favorite post of the year.
twins_89 Verified Member Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 Rogers showing no rust with a totally dominant inning.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 30, 2020 Author Posted July 30, 2020 Twins win!!! The bats weren't alive tonight so the pitchers decided they weren't going to give up anything. Only one player reached scoring position by the Cards (I think), and the bullpen was lights out. Oh, and that Taylor Rogers guy is still dirty
Diesel Verified Member Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 Another impressive showing by the bullpen!

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 Welp. That's that. Should i be disappointed Rogers threw a couple of balls to the first batter?
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 My brother-in-law was over tonight and brought steak tacos, but I did cooked and deboned just over 30 pounds of chicken for the freezer today. That counts, doesn’t it?
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 Folks, we just swept the only division winner we'll play all year (regular season). Semantics aside, heck of a job by the pitchers holding them to 3 hits! Phenomenal! Let's go crush the Indians next!
DiscGolfer Verified Member Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 that was quick. I thought Twins relievers were supposed to let a couple runners on to make things interesting.
Darius Verified Member Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 Rogers is phenomenal. He just made one of the best hitters of this decade look completely overmatched. What an awesome story.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 30, 2020 Author Posted July 30, 2020 Signature updated 19-6 in game threads started by me. Hoping to make that number an even 20 at this time tomorrow night. Until then, Twins win!
Sielk Verified Member Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 that was quick. I thought Twins relievers were supposed to let a couple runners on to make things interesting. Not in 2020. Not this bullpen... :-))
Shaitan Verified Member Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 Rogers is phenomenal. He just made one of the best hitters of this decade look completely overmatched. What an awesome story. I was "watching" on Gameday. Was it as overpowering as the 3 pitch K implies?

Sielk Verified Member Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 I was "watching" on Gameday. Was it as overpowering as the 3 pitch K implies?More so. The batter looked absolutely overmatched.
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 I was "watching" on Gameday. Was it as overpowering as the 3 pitch K implies? It was glorious.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 Yes, and no. Just getting prepared to make 11 casseroles in October.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 I'm gonna run out of chickesan before too long. Not bad. Please remind me about Family Guy after a more hotly disputed game...
wabene Verified Member Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 Pretty sure we are watching a refined version of Mr Rogers. I will enjoy the duration of his journey.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 Pretty sure we are watching a refined version of Mr Rogers. I will enjoy the duration of his journey. There's something in this... I am not sufficiently wise in the ways of the neighborhood to riff on it, though. You're makin' believe you can catch up to that trolley he sends your way? Nah... i ain't got it...
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 Any news on Sano?I heard nothing. If i was paying attention, it was happened at the same time as putting Whitefield into center, so perhaps it was just how the defensive replacement shook out? Defensively, Whitefield > Cave in center, Cave > Gonzalez in right, Gonzalez > Sano at first? Was that Whitefield's first at bat? Perhaps an excuse also to see what he can do.
Channing1964 Verified Member Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 I'm all about trading players if there is a replacement, but I don't really get all the Rosario trade talk on here. Dude is a stud. Clutch. Gamer. And I get that RBI's are an overrated stat, but they are still pretty important, and Eddie seems to always be near the team lead in them.i made a detail post agreeing with you completely but idk how I lost it in outer space
