Obviously a big win for the Twins and we Twins fans tend to think of every game as big, but let's take a look at things from a Cleveland perspective. Six games back. This week is make or break for them. They need to take 3 of 4 from the Sox and then take 2 of 3 from the Twins while they need the Red Sox to sweep. They really need to overtake us in the next 10 games as I see it.

9-4 in the 13 games against Chicago and Detroit. Average of one loss per series. I think that's what most of us were looking for two weeks ago.

Also of note regarding their health is that prior to roster expansion, all but nine PAs came from 15 players (not counting pitchers).

Excellent point. All but five starts by the starting five. I don’t think that can be underestimated. That is huge.

I know that editors ding me for including the extra 'e' in that word, but I have never understood how you get the soft 'g' sound without it. I feel like I need to pronounce it "Jud-guh-ment," spelled your way.

 

(I also don't like including the comma inside the quotation marks, but decided I'd better do it or you'd ding me for that too. )
