I guess I don’t get Stashak in this situation over Thorpe. Isn’t Thorpe far more likely to be in the running for a postseason roster spot? Isn’t he the guy you want to see in a relatively close game?

Down to their last strike, Cleveland homered to tie it 8-8 against KC.

You can't make it up. Unbelievable.

He sure did. 3-run HR with 2 outs and it's tied up. Awful performance, couldn't have gone worse.

Indians now going to extras. Hopefully the game goes 25 innings and the Indians relief staff takes weeks to recover. Also, the Indians' third baseman fractured a bone in his hand and will be out for at least a month.

I can't "like" this, but it is certainly a positive development for the Twins' post-season chances.

I don't "like" the injury, but think it's relevant in evaluating the Indians' situation.
