How do they pick the kids who announce the players this inning? Always wondered that. Like, does a PA guy just stand around the concourse and pick kids at random? Do they sign up beforehand? Do the kids' parents work in ticket sales or something?

My parents and nephews went to a game earlier this year. As they were standing in line waiting to get in at the gate, someone working for the Twins told them "you gotta get your first game certificate at Guest Services". As they were getting that, they were asked if they would like to be "Family of the Game".

 

So, this is my long winded way of saying its probably random. At least if it works like the family of the game anyway.

I think the scouting report is out on Twins hitters. They can't hit breaking balls. Any pitcher that has confidence in their curveball and is willing to throw a steady dose of them has a high chance of having success against our lineup.
