Perez has to hold the line here. Putting up a zero is just huge. We can't get into another drag-em-out slug fest....well, we can, but I'd rather not.

He didn't get this message!

[LVTwinsfan]

Finish strong Perez

[operation mindcrime]

8-3 Royals

That's beautiful!!!!!

[stringer bell]

OK. Get three more outs, Pérez!. I like the Twins' chances if they are up three after 6.

Best performance by a Twins starter on this homestand

[stringer bell]

I'm guessing Duffey, then May out of the bullpen starting next inning.

[operation mindcrime]

Wow a 9 pitch inning!!!!! Send him out for the 7th!

[PDX Twin]

I don't know about any of you, but I'm sure glad that the BP only needs to do 3 today instead of 4. Sometimes we just need the high-paid starters to do a little extra, and Perez did today.

[glunn]

I am praying for insurance runs.

[ashbury]

Franmil Reyes with a homer to bring Cleveland to 8-4.

/ edit - but that's all, end of 8

Probably needed it to hold on to his job.

[operation mindcrime]

CROM!!!!!!

[LVTwinsfan]

End of 8. Royals 8-4

Gibson should be thinking the same

SCHOOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[Puckett34]

SCHOOP!!!

[Nine of twelve]

There's no better backup second baseman in the majors.

[rkevin]

Scoopy Schoop!

[operation mindcrime]

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[bighat]

Getting those runs back!

Perez, Cron and Schoop today, who'da thunk?

[John Kelsey]

Good day for the whipping boys.

Backup? What are you talking about? He pushed the previous starter out to left field!

[Danchat]

What was that about penciling Cron and Schoop in the lineup was "trying not to win"?

I'd put Schoop in the lineup whenever we face a lefty.

[stringer bell]

Nice Schoop!

7 runs on just four hits!

reverse jinx

I guess I don’t get Stashak in this situation over Thorpe. Isn’t Thorpe far more likely to be in the running for a postseason roster spot? Isn’t he the guy you want to see in a relatively close game?

[operation mindcrime]

Great catch Marwin!!!!!

[PDX Twin]

Not elegant, but at least Gonzalez is chalant!

[GCTF]

A Delmonzie route without the Delmonzie ending.

Replace the lefty with a righty?
