LaBombo Verified Member Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 This is way off topic......but Adam Schefter just announced that Andrew Luck is officially retiring from football. That's nuts! CBS sports called it "the most shocking development of the NFL offseason". I'm wondering what the author thinks will happen during the season that will supersede it. Switching from tackle to flag or touch, maybe?
wabene Verified Member Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 Welp I guess Rogers can still pitch
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 I'm still trying to process the Luck news.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 Always remember... Every game is 9 innings And every season is 162 games. And tomorrow is another day. We got a ways to go.
wavedog Verified Member Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 Rogers restored sanity, nice comeback win!

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 25, 2019 Author Posted August 25, 2019 I often thought rims that constrict would be a great home field advantage in basketball. How about hydraulic outfield walls that slide backwards when the road team hits? For the next stadium rebuild:
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 WWCD!!!What Would Cron Do? (Eat chicken dinner with the rest of the team, of course!)

Not every game is 9 innings. Sometimes they are 8.5. Sometimes they go into extras. Sometimes the rain stops them at random times. So there. (Thinks a little while) Wait... I said 9 innings... not you.

wabene Verified Member Posted August 25, 2019 Posted August 25, 2019 You know some worry when we go all in for a game that x reliever won't be available, but for me it's just such a pleasant change that we can actually pull it off.
