sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 You used to be a kid? Hey! I used to be a kid!I used to kid. Oh wait. I still do. What i miss so far?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Maybe five innings from Jake? Wow, honestly I want a starter who can consistently go a bit deeper in games.
bighat Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Cave chop-swings over a ball down-and-in. Seen it so many times this year. I know the Twins push for launch-angle has resulted in some great numbers this year, but one guy it's ruined is Jake Cave.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Forgettable first trip through the order. To put it lightly
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Not a real encouraging first time through for the Twins. Gonna have to make some adjustments
Blake Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Author Posted August 6, 2019 Is it me or does Rosario need to wake up a bit? He doesn't seem like the fun-loving player he was a month ago or so.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Hope the Twins batters enjoy facing Mr Soroka, because they are doing nothing to make him go away anytime soon.
obtusebanter Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 This is Odorizzi for you - about 20 pitches an inning, but he'll usually get outs when you need him to. Getting 4-5 innings of great pitching is nice but the 6th/7th inning can look like a mirage for him most times. Aye. That'll play better in October. It sure grates mid-season though.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 I'm not sure how many more chances Cave should get at this point. I think they need to consider looking at another OF, just in case Buxton is hurt for the playoffs.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 If I had a nickel for everytime a pitcher dominated 3 innings......

I know the Twins push for launch-angle has resulted in some great numbers this year, but one guy it's ruined is Jake Cave. I mean he's crushing AAA pitching. The groundball % of 66.1% he has right now is nearly 20% higher than his minor league career. That being said....he doesn't look comfortable at the plate right now.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Will be interesting to see how hard they push Odo. would imagine he'll throw until 110+, unless he gets in trouble again
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Will be interesting to see how hard they push Odo. would imagine he'll throw until 110+, unless he gets in trouble again I was just thinking about that, and I think you are correct.
Blake Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Author Posted August 6, 2019 If I had a nickel for everytime a pitcher dominated 3 innings......You'd have 20 cents?
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Cleveland down 1-0 going into T8 against Texas
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Minor went seven for the Rangers, no runs but seven hits. He's thrown 112 pitches, so it will be up to the Rangers 'pen to win a tight one in Cleveland.
HawksNest Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 This is Mike Soroka. Heck of a pitcher, not a big strikeout guy, but incredibly hard to barrel anything off of him
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 C'mon Arraez, put us on the board
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 ARRAEZ!!!!!!!!! LET"S GO!!!!!!!!!!
bighat Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Bad call on strike 1 to Arraez there. C'mon Luis!
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 C'mon Arraez, put us on the board Done!
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 ARIIIIIIIIISE!!!!!!! Damn, I love this kid.
twinssporto Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 I think we have our starting 2nd baseman next year. Awesome!!
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Done! Never hurt to ask right?
bighat Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Okay Jake, your offense came through for you. Grind out one more scoreless here.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Y'all just needed to be a little patient and let the lineup settle in against this kid. Soroka's no slouch.
HawksNest Verified Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Top of the order coming up for ATL...buckle up!
