bighat Verified Member Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 48 pitchers, 5 outs.Anyone left in the pen? We gonna ride May for 2+ again? I see now way the Twins hold the Yankees under 10 if we go to the pen before the 6th.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 I lost my wisdom at 21. That's my excuse.I was going to say, lots of folks still have their wisdom teeth but it’s not helping JK
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Cave is awful.Because I hold grudges, I'll bring up yet again that Cave dived and missed during a game at Kauffman Stadium that I attended last year - the results were worse that time, with a inside-the-park HR. As a consequence he's about my least favorite position player on the team, with consistently poor judgement on anything requiring more than ordinary skill.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Funny talking about wisdom teeth removal. I had my dug out this morning. I'm 19, but I feel very good. I've eaten soft foods, and probably wouldn't want to play a baseball game today, but he got his out what? Friday? I'd be ready to go in two days at the minimum. Something tells me the concussion is worse than originally feared.
jz7233 Provisional Member Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Cave is stinking it up. I hope he can hit tonight cause he has a lot to atone for.OPS of .639 this season, what more do you expect?

Darius Verified Member Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Why did this team have to start the season the way they did and create so much false hope?
jtkoupal Verified Member Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 This Twins rotation is making me SICK! They are so much better than this, yet since the All Star break, the Twins are lucky if they can get 6 innings from the starter. Each starter runs into trouble every night, they labor, they're wild, and throw cookies. This rotation is better than this. So frustrating.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Did I just see a seasoned World Series winner swing at the first pitch after our guy threw about 40 in the top half? Holy cow

I went through 2 hydrocodone prescriptions and the doc wouldn't write another, so I had to take Ibuprofen which felt like it did exactly **** for pain reduction.

At leastThey came out with a new medicine in the past year or year and a half. It is the novicane they always give, but extended release. Injected after the extraction is over, and is slowly released over the next 2-3 days. Does wonders.

Just find it hard to believe a dentist would suggest getting them out at a more reasonable time (if he didn’t)
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Schoop has been fairly bad (by Twins lineup standards) against righties, but he just mashes lefties.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 They’re lurking, waiting to “bite” youI’ve had the same dentist since I was 14. At 16 they came in sideways and he told me to lose them because that’s give me trouble soon. I told him to screw off, they feel fine. He stopped asking to remove them 20 years ago and every 6 months since he still stares in my stanky mouth and asks me if they’re giving me trouble. Nope, the smooth side chews just fine.
jtkoupal Verified Member Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 To echo what I just said about our rotation, it could be an explanation that they are trying to do so much because they know they have a bad bullpen. (I'm not going to sugarcoat it, the bullpen is bad). However, the reverse of this could be true to. Maybe the bullpen has sucked so bad because the starters, night after night, can't make it out of the 5th or 6th inning. Maybe the two forces are compounding to create this utter disaster, but it's pretty frustrating either way considering they are so much better than this.

Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 That plate appearance wasn't even 20% as awful as I imagined.
