Game Thread: Twins vs. Yankees 5:10 pm PST (7:10 pm CST) 7/22/2019

[h2oface]

Mike Tauchman absolutely owns the twins. It’s embarrassing

9th hitter.

[Riverbrian]

Cardinals move. Can always move back to the rotation later.

I've watched the Astros move Peacock back and forth. The Dodgers move Maeda around.

Pomeranz, Minor and a bunch of others... The precedent has been smashed... only convention holds it in place.

So, Royce Lewis for Will smith and Alex Kirilloff for Ken Giles?

Actually.... no Edited July 23, 2019 by Hosken Bombo Disco

Just an embarrassing conglomeration of pitchers we have on this team. It’s appalling

[Mill1634]

Welp. This is about I expected this to go. Thorpe is nothing more than an AAAA starter, and nothing suggested he'd be real effective in relief, especially medium to high leverage against a really good Yankees lineup.

[h2oface]

welp, Thorpe is no Kimbrel.

This meeting:

Listen, you're not coming out until at least the eighth, so get your **** together.

Also, sorry about your dog.

Because Wes is a player's coach.

[Krabby5]

Its been nice to take advantage of the weak part of it, but schedules are identical and I was saying how i abhor the fact espn gives no love to the twins or indians regardless of what they do

Right..but they are playing the media and East Coast darlings the Yankees...

[h2oface]

So, Royce Lewis for Will smith and Alex Kirilloff for Ken Giles?

Then who do you hype in the minor league articles?

[Mill1634]

THANK YOU WES!!!!!!

[Nine of twelve]

We needed that.

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

6 4 3

Of course

[DocBauer]

Was just going to pray for a double play. Kharma!

yea man, id be losing my mind right now...ur team is TOO good to have a pen this pathetic...super frustrating, and i want to win the central as a tribe fan obvi but also root for u guys too (weird dynamic this year i know ha)

[Brock Beauchamp]

Thorpe is kinda pumped there, deservedly so. Putting that kid out there tonight is a big ask.

[h2oface]

Big play. Out the inning with a only a 9.00 ERA for the game.

[VATwinsFan]

Twins will need at least 10 to win.

[Krabby5]

Is there any doubt that the WS is Yankees/Dodgers?

[USAFChief]

Timely.

Risk another inning from Thorpe?

He fooled nobody that inning.

[Tom Froemming]

Then who do you hype in the minor league articles?

HEY, I take personal offense to that! How are we gonna sell Prospect Handbooks without those guys!?!?!?!

[Bandit34]

Get 5 runs or put Taylor in!

[Brock Beauchamp]

Timely.

Have to do it. It's game one of a three game set and the Twins don't have an off day for a week.

And it's not as if Rochester is exactly bursting at the seams with better options should he fail.

The Twins front office admitted they tried to build an 80-85 win team this year, but then April and May happened

[TribeAZ13]

welp, Thorpe is no Kimbrel.

Jim is dead, but maybe Otis Thorpe would have been a better call than Lewis??  . granted, he played in the NBA and is 60, but meh

[Aggies7]

He fooled nobody that inning.

Not true, he fooled me into thinking the lead was gone

[Mill1634]

So, Parker in the 7th and Rogers for 8 + 9?

Can go Harper-Parker-Rogers if you only want to use Rogers for one inning I suppose.

[TribeAZ13]

Is there any doubt that the WS is Yankees/Dodgers?

Wont happen
