Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 When was the last time the Twins had a ss start the All Star gameRoy Smalley
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 Cruz overshooting just a bit on his bid for the triple and the cycle. About 150 feet or so.As nice as his 2 HRs on the game are, I loved watching him leg out that double
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 Wembley looks a lot like the LA Coliseum when the Dodgers moved to California in the 1950s. The porches look really short. Not at Wembley, I think. It's at West Ham's London Stadium from the Olympics.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 Wonder what the rule is if he just stopped at third. Bonus points for original thinking, but it looks like the rule book says no, on a totally lame technicality about not replacing the ball until the player crosses HP. "After a thrown or batted ball goes out of the playing field, play shall not be resumed with an alternate ball until the runners have reached the bases to which they are entitled. After a home run is hit out of the playing grounds, the umpire shall not deliver a new ball to the pitcher or the catcher until the batter hitting the home run has crossed the plate."
Blake Verified Member Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 Broadcast team notes that Cruz just needs the triple to complete the cycle. On a completely unrelated note, the engines of a UChicago air ambulance could be heard spooling up less than a minute later...The exchange between Dick and Bert was pretty funny, when Bert said that he thought Cruz would rather hit it out of the park and take his time rounding the bases. Boom and Bert is ribbing Dick.
FLTwinsGuy Verified Member Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 Lol parker came in and i said thank gosh we got a big lead...
Blake Verified Member Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 Let's Cruz to that cycle!Cycle + 1 base. Technically a triple plus 1.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 Sano... looks like he’s starting to figure it out, I’m happy to be proven wrong about himDitto.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 I understand the... sarcasm? But is there actually anyone on the roster we wouldn't trade for Judge?Jose Berrios?
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 Lol parker came in and i said thank gosh we got a big lead...I commend Baldelli for using Parker properly in this game.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 Sano needs to be sent down...3 days ago, I was saying that. Early returns says I need to start heating up a plate of crow.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 I just want the Twins to score one run each inning.Did the two runs every other inning suit you?
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 How about an ol' fashioned 11-5 win for our Twins today?Close enough.
MVP Nick Punto Verified Member Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 Twins back on Pace for 308 HR

VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 O's up 11-0 over Cleveland in the bottom of the 6th.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 That's the game I remember this team playing. Still have the chance to achieve the goal of 2 out of 3 every series. Giolito will be a tall task tomorrow.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 Wow, three inning to go, can Baltimore hold off Cleveland? 11-0 so far.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 Plesac started for Cleveland, gave up 7 runs in 3 and 2/3 innings. Wow.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 When you get a chance, watch the replay of Cruz's second home run and then look for the expression on Buxton's face.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 Orioles/Cleveland update: 13-0, Baltimore. This is a CBU stand-in update.

Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 Hmm, out next MiL signing?Sure seems like he'd be worth trying. Would he drop far enough for the Twins to be able to claim him?
