According to MLBTradeRumors, Buxton and Marwin are back on the roster. Wade and Cave to Rochester.

Wow, not much of a chance for Wade. Until Rosario returns, it looks like Marwin will be our primary left fielder. The way things are going, I'd rather see Arraez at second and Schoop on the bench.

I'm glad this organization is emphasizing defense now, unlike during the Molitor and Gardy years.

I was glad they resisted the temptation to play Cruz in the OF during interleague play, and I'll be glad if I never have to witness Rooker in the OF at the MLB level.

They sure haven't emphasized OF defense over the last fortnight- because they sure hearken back nostalgically to the Molly/Gardy years.

By circumstance, not by design. The OF has been ravaged by injuries, and extreme extra inning games.

On the whole, they've seemed to emphasize it.

So good those guys are back in the lineup- wow, when it rained it poured for our outfield this stretch, eh?

 

Too bad Wade couldn't have another sip of coffee or two, but I'd already seen more than enough of Cave. He was such a pleasant surprise last season, not so much this year.

 

On another ex-Yankee-Twin note: Tyler Austin seems to be having a hell of a time getting ABs with the Giants, too- which is quizzical, with so many of their regulars having truly sucky seasons so far.
