Game Thread: Twins vs Red Sox 6/17/19 7:10 PM CDT

[Riverbrian]

Baby steps: Parker only gave up one run.

I like yours better than mine.

[Pius Jefferson]

It would be hilarious if Blake was tipping his pitches with all those histrionics

(not really hilarious, but whatever)

At least that's something you can fix.

[Aggies7]

Let’s watch three guys try to hit one out (and hope they do)

If he bangs his elbow off his left ear three times. It's a fastball.

[Richie the Rally Goat]

Just curious, what is the opposite of “boom stick”?

asking for a friend

flaccid whisper.

Edit: removed question mark. Definitely a statement, not a question.

Sano’s Up. Easy out

[USAFChief]

yuk.

[notoriousgod71]

I still don't have faith in Sano making contact with the ball but at least his plate discipline seems to be improving.

[Dave The Dastardly]

Sa - noooooooooo!

[Jham]

the downside of most of baseball intentionally tanking is that there are a few really really talented baseball teams to beat.

[USAFChief]

At least we caught a break missing Sale.

[Blake]

Sano continues to not impress me.

[LVTwinsfan]

Tough loss for Berrios

[operation mindcrime]

There goes our homer streak! I guess we'll just have to start a new one tomorrow!!!!

[Blake]

Sa - noooooooooo!

San expecteddddddddd!

Yes I’m eagerly awaiting the David price vs Michael Pineda show tomorrow. Should really put that “never lost 3 in a row” thing in jeopardy

I did catch the sarcasm

Why are you picking on me?

Oh, wait....

[operation mindcrime]

Sano continues to not impress me.

Is this Blake Parker?

[Blake]

Parker only gave up one run that time.

Progress is being made.

We both had the same thought.

Although, I think this gif is in order.

Yeah, I already used it on chief, but, hey.

[Pius Jefferson]

There's more to dislike than like about this team right now.

[Blake]

Is this Blake Parker?

Who wants to know and what's it worth too you?

[Blake]

Not really. The bullpen has some issues and the Twins ran into a pitcher on top of his game.

Great game, just didn't quite work out.

Twins statistically should win this game and last game.

Lately? I disagree. Been very sloppy in all facets.

[LaBombo]

probably unimportant...but why do you suppose the table is upside down?

No idea, but I'm blaming both the goofs in the picture for the TD site saying that I'm using an illegal image extension when trying to post the run matrix with their gif imbedded.

With the current bullpen, maybe we can have our own fun slogans like Spahn and Sain and Pray for Rain.  The 2019 Twins motto can be Berrios for Seven and Rain till Eleven.  Hopefully that would be a long enough delay to call the game.  Might be their best chance to hold a lead.

If you think about that some more. You won’t sleep much tonight.

[jz7233]

Clutch hitting and good relief pitching are what's missing.

The longer a move is mad to shore up the pitching, the more obvious it’s going to be that we’re very desperate. Nobody wants to be the ugly girl still at the bar alone at 3 am
