nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Anthony Bass is still around? That's a blast from the past.I’m hoping for the blast part
bighat Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Scoring 2 runs?Against Tommy Millone no less. Soft-tossing, journeyman lefty junkballers have always caused the Twins problems for some reason. Wish I was making that up.
bighat Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 I think Garver could have made it home on that WP.
twinssporto Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 The ninth inning will be fun people. If the bullpen holds up..Shhh.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Who's left? We've used 4 so half the relief staff is still lurking out there in the bullpen, waiting their turn to make this game end as late as it would in Seattle.
curt1965 Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 I’d bring up Smeltzer and use him as a lefty out of the pen. Can’t be any worse than we have.FOR A START.

notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 You would think with how awful every bullpen in the league is that managers would adapt and allow their starters to go deeper into games.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 You would think with how awful every bullpen in the league is that managers would adapt and allow their starters to go deeper into games.I mean, berrios going 6 2/3 is pretty solid. We’re just so incompetent, we got 4 outs and allowed 5 runs
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 No, you're right, I was thinking of Brian Bass. I got my Basses mixed up.I thought that sounded fishy when I read it
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 You would think with how awful every bullpen in the league is that managers would adapt and allow their starters to go deeper into games.A) Every bullpen isn't awful 2) tiring starters have proven over and over to be worse than the worst bullpens.
jz7233 Provisional Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 The ninth inning will be fun people. If the bullpen holds up..Shhh.I am not sure about that. Sano is going to lead off.
BattleYourTailOff Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Yep. And also grrr. Almost limitless potential for the Twins to "express interest" in relievers on the trading block, but whose teams ultimately wanted more back in prospects than the Twins were willing to give. Falvine are probably already pre-taping the response to beat writers. If we don’t get 2 solid relievers we FAILED with a capital F.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Benji Gil. Bobby Scales.Bobby scales made me laugh right out loud.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 I see marlon byrd is listed online as having a fish name. That’s kind of a stretch

DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 So we win it bottom of the 9th? Or do I have to run to the convenience store for another 6 pack for extra innings?
