Schoop's ABs with RISP tonite haven't been the greatest.

Schoop has not been good with RISP all season.

An Astudillo strikeout. Weird.

 

Yes. I know this will probably get me my first warning points, but I'm tired of the Astudillo thing. No competent pitcher will ever again throw him a strike and his average is headed down toward .200. He is not very good at any of the positions he plays, is very slow on the bases. Time for Cave, Arraez, or even Gordon to come up and get some ABs.

Sure love leaving guys in scoring position.thats at least 3 if not more now

 

It's great that they've been hitting all of these HRs but at some point, you also have to be good at stringing together 3 singles to get a run across.  They've had guys on 2nd in 4 of the 5 innings so far and have only got one of them in...on a home run.  Cruz's AB there was just as bad as Schoop's have been.

I don't think Twins need Schoop and Cruz next season. Arraez and Gordon should be ready next season.

And on the Red Wing front, they are up 19-4 in the 8th ... without a single homerun!

 

Apologies. That was a 7-inning final in the first of two. Ahead 2-0 after two in the second ... and of course one was a homerun.

Not sure what you're talking about, Gonzalez was one of the most highly rated LFs in baseball last season. He doesn't have great range but he's only playing corner outfield.

Part of a double header, so that was the final score after just 7 innings, and that being the case, for Rochester so far...

Poorly-executed rundown by Detroit allowing Schoop to get to second.

 

It's going to be a while before I see a rundown without thinking of Tortuga taking a microbreak in the middle of his last one to toss... well, not even toss... closer to 'carefully place'... his batting helmet away from the fray, as if he'd borrowed it and didn't want it to get roughed up.
