jz7233 Provisional Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 Schoop's ABs with RISP tonite haven't been the greatest.Schoop has not been good with RISP all season.
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 An Astudillo strikeout. Weird. Yes. I know this will probably get me my first warning points, but I'm tired of the Astudillo thing. No competent pitcher will ever again throw him a strike and his average is headed down toward .200. He is not very good at any of the positions he plays, is very slow on the bases. Time for Cave, Arraez, or even Gordon to come up and get some ABs.
jz7233 Provisional Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 An Astudillo strikeout. Weird.I don't know how long they are going to let him stay in the major league. Astudillo swings at anything.
FLTwinsGuy Verified Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 Sure love leaving guys in scoring position.thats at least 3 if not more now
Puckett34 Verified Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 And on the Red Wing front, they are up 19-4 in the 8th ... without a single homerun!Amateurs
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 Sure love leaving guys in scoring position.thats at least 3 if not more now It's great that they've been hitting all of these HRs but at some point, you also have to be good at stringing together 3 singles to get a run across. They've had guys on 2nd in 4 of the 5 innings so far and have only got one of them in...on a home run. Cruz's AB there was just as bad as Schoop's have been.

PDX Twin Verified Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 And on the Red Wing front, they are up 19-4 in the 8th ... without a single homerun! Apologies. That was a 7-inning final in the first of two. Ahead 2-0 after two in the second ... and of course one was a homerun.
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 Not sure what you're talking about, Gonzalez was one of the most highly rated LFs in baseball last season. He doesn't have great range but he's only playing corner outfield. Not sure what you're talking about, Gonzalez was one of the most highly rated LFs in baseball last season. FLTwinsGuy Verified Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 Well at least one team can hit with RISP
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 OK, we can go get Pineda at any time, Rocco.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 And on the Red Wing front, they are up 19-4 in the 8th ... without a single homerun!Part of a double header, so that was the final score after just 7 innings, and that being the case, for Rochester so far...
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 OK, we can go get Pineda at any time, Rocco.Stay with Pineda, go to the bullpen for more than 4 innings ... ya picks yer poison.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 WArning, nitpick alert: Looking at the graphic being posted about security at Target Field -- there is a misspelling. It's not duffle bag, it's duffel bag.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 That was a modern home run swing there by Cron.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 Marwin's quietly having a night to be proud of, even if no teammate currently is lending support in terms of driving him in or being driven in. / edit - and there I go again, with a mild jinx that shows up on his baserunning (though he basically atoned). I'll dial down the praise.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 Time for Schoop to show us something here.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 Poorly-executed rundown by Detroit allowing Schoop to get to second.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 Poorly-executed rundown by Detroit allowing Schoop to get to second. It's going to be a while before I see a rundown without thinking of Tortuga taking a microbreak in the middle of his last one to toss... well, not even toss... closer to 'carefully place'... his batting helmet away from the fray, as if he'd borrowed it and didn't want it to get roughed up.
