I wish managers and coaches would wear their jerseys instead of hoodies and such. Certainly not an earth-shaking issue but I think it looks cooler.

Good god. It’s almost as if I stepped into a time machine and back to 2015.

 

Gibson, over his prior three starts, threw 18 innings and struck out 22 hitters. He gave up four runs.

Flashes of brilliance, that’s all,never been consistent, never will be, #4 starter in this rotation

Be careful what you ask for.

Do people realize how good the starting pitching has been so far? No one should have any room to complain.

Gibson has been good for something like 300-350 innings now. I’m not sure how much time people need.

And the dude is recovering from e.Coli and lost 20 lbs, probably all of which was muscle.

He deserves a little slack, especially when it comes to tiring in later innings. The guy has every friggin’ reason to wear down during a game.

 

Not disagreeing, just saying... quite a few people had written off Gibson's 2017 as 2016 redux by the time he got around to pitching well in August, and/or had forgotten that his 2014 showed peripheral signs of what his very good 2015 would be. And the E.C. hit him in the off season, so the in-season only fans missed out on sharing that joy with him.

 

Give it a little longer... if he and the Twins both keep winning, this will be the turning point that last year could have been in their minds.

There's nothing better for an opposing team that loading the bases while we hit... we're 3 for 28 on the season when the bases are loaded.

Just to clarify, I wasn't complaining. I just think Gibson is a good 4th starter, and I doubt that Stewart will amount to that much.

He's on pace for 36 home runs. That's not average. His OPS is about .800, which is not great, but it's certainly above average.

Twins clutch hitting has been pretty awful this home-stand. In the 6 games (including tonight) the Twins are hitting 9-47 (.191) with RISP.
