According to the above article in the Star Tribune, the Twins banned Jason Gabbert from Target Field. Gabbert says he's just an enthusiastic fan looking for memorabilia. The Twins (and one judge so far) disagree. 

 

Gabbert, who is 49 (!), says he will refile in a federal court.

 

Allegations have been that he has been physical, or that he negotiates with fans to get their game-used stuff.

 

I think this is an interesting case, to be sure... and it could lead this thread in several directions. This case, or just how much is too much, or how far is too far, for adults to go to get game-used bats or balls. 

 

What do you think?

I suppose I have to pause and consider the possibility that there was some sort of plot conceived by random fans who don't know each other to pick on this guy they don't know unfairly at random times over a period of years. 

 

OK... I have paused and considered it. 

 

Not only should be banned from Target Field. I think the state of Minnesota should ban him from Minnesota and force him to live in Wisconsin where that type of behavior is more routine.

What strikes me is that after not reading the article, and having watched this team since Calvin rolled into town, that the last 8? years would make anyone excited about this team. Interested? Possibly. Excited? That's kind of a stretch.

false. She got banned from the Metrodome...while attending a game at Target Field.

Hey ... it wasn't me ... I was holding the bail money ... and spent it on shoes letting them sit in jail for the weekend.

But their Rewards Program is a lot more appealing. In some states, just 3 stays earns you a lifetime bed!
