sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 8, 2018 Posted June 8, 2018 Figured i'd get back to basics today... 1. "Take me out to the ball game, take me out to the park." Location, location, location. First order of business is a chance to appreciate the action.Technology expands that horizon, but does not negate the need. You got that solved? 2. "Buy me some peanuts and crackerjack" It's not as quick a game as it used to be. Are your appetites addressed? Whatcha got on the menu? 3. "I don't care if i ever go back." I see we are all dedicated. It may not be so marked as swaring off the rest of the world, but it is important to care, at least a little. 4. "So lets root root root for the home team, if they don't win it's a shame!" Go Twins! 5. "For it's one, two, three strikes you're out at the old ball game!" Yes, there are rules.Play ball! IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted June 8, 2018 Posted June 8, 2018 Checking in from section 108. And thanks to the folks from the Greater Twin Cities Chamber of Commerce (Sconnie, Blake, Riverbrian, Glunn, and Winston). Didn’t get to all your suggestions from a prior game discussion, but thumbs-up on the James J Hill House, Summit Street (plus St. Paul Cathedral), Jucy Lucy at Mike’s, Mason Jar for hot dish, and my personal favorite, the awesome Mill City Museum.

One thing I forgot to mention is the Stone Arch bridge. Great view of all the old mill houses on the river. Anyway, sounds like you got in some good sight seeing!
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2018 Posted June 8, 2018 The Angels have Simmons, Calhoun, Ohtani, Middleton, and Wood on the DL. Their roster is weakened by injuries similarly to ours, so hopefully the Twins will seize this opportunity and win the series.
AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted June 8, 2018 Posted June 8, 2018 I don’t care if I ever get back....or I don’t care if I never get back?

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 8, 2018 Author Posted June 8, 2018 The view from my seat.Cool! Now the big question: Peanuts?Or Crackerjack?
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 Sano in the 7 spot. Interesting. I haven’t been playing close enough attention this last week. Is that new tonight or has it been done already? It should certainly get his attention. Sometimes that’s all it takes. I remember back in 1991 TK pinch hit for Kent Hrbek early in the year vs a LHP. Once with the forgettable Carmello Castillo and then with Al Newman. It certainly got his message through. Hrbek ended with a .797 OPS vs LHP, which was pretty close to his overall OPS that year. In 1990, he had about a .150 point spread. Edit: Geez, I just looked Castillo up. He had a -1.2 bWAR for his career. The guy was in the bigs for parts of ten seasons. That has to be almost impossible.
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 I still chuckle when I hear someone say “Pujols.”
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 Looking at Escobar next to Sano makes me want to find a magnifying button
Platoon Verified Member Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 New drinking game. Every time a ball glances of Garvers glove we hoist one!
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 Twins hitting the ball hard early. Good news.
bighat Verified Member Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 Quick correction because you don't want to sing it wrong at the next game: "Take me out to the ball game. Take me out with the crowd." Some well hit balls there in the first.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 The view from my seat. Someone is trying to get arrested for stalking.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 3 singles to the bottom of the order...not great
bighat Verified Member Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 Blyleven in rare form tonight with a "B.J. Upton" reference already. Also mentioned the "Red Sock organization" but I'll give him a pass on that.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 Looks like we are seeing Evil Lynn tonight.
