Now that one I would have challenged. Guess the Indians are challenge shy after yesterday challenging so early in the game and losing the challenge.

Agree. Looks like he was out.

Am watching w/o sound and could not figure out why that wasn't challenged. Must have been another view showing a missed tag.

Good Kyle and Bad Kyle often appeared in the same game in years past... the new Kyle seems to shake adversity and stay agresive much better.

That was a professionally struck baseball. It had everything. Exit velocity, launch angle, and a center fielder who could not leap tall buildings in a single bound. :)

They often appeared in the same inning. :)

Agreed. A year ago, I'm not sure Kyle makes it out of the 5th if he gives up the Encarnacion homer followed by the single. It would just snowball.

Happy for Gibson and the consistency he has shown so far this season - as mentioned here he has been up and down in the past.   Hopefully for all of us this continues and gives us some good choices to make after this season.

Strat-O-Matic Report - Top of the 5th

Brantley doubles.
Ramirez singles, Brantley to 3rd.
Ramirez steals 2B.
Encarnacion grounds out, runners hold.
Kipnis walks, based loaded.
-- Matt Magill now pitching --
Gomes doubles, Branley and Ramirez score (5-1).
Allen grounds out, runners hold.
Zimmer grounds out to short.

Yikes, the Twins trail 5-1 here. Unfortunately, Magill could not prevent runs from scoring, but he did get those two outs at the end. Things aren't looking so good over here in Strat-O-Land.

I have come to the conclusion that Sanos plate discipline is in direct proportion to the pitchers ability to throw low outside sliders. :).

Yep,

Slider, swinging strike

Slider, ball

Slider, swinging strike

Slider, swinging strike

Pitchers saying, boy that was quick

Damn, was hoping for a walk so Kepler could run up Clevinger's pitch count and the Twins can get into that vaunted Cleveland bullpen in the sixth.

Well you got half your wish, but it was Lindor who wore out Gibby.

That's on Molitor.

I believe Pressly has been terrible at stranding runners this year.
