Puckett34 Verified Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Well, no... but I can move Escobar from short to pitcher, right? He's pitched once before. In spectacular fashion, no less. Not really, but it's Escobar, so probably at least entertaining.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Those look like crocs, not gators? I thought they were feet... Shows what i know.
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Strat-O-Matic Report - Bottom of the 8th Morrison singles to right.Escobar grounds into a double play.Kepler grounds out to the pitcher. Hmmm... which position player should I have pitch the 9th?Wilson looks to have a strong arm.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2018 Author Posted June 3, 2018 In spectacular fashion, no less. Not really, but it's Escobar, so probably at least entertaining. What I was actually asking is if you can move a player from any position to pitch... or don't you have to give up the DH's spot or something like that? I don't remember the rules.
Jham Verified Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 My guess is so that the game is still tied at the bottom of the 9th. That and Hildenberger is presumably unavailable.Well it worked. at least half way. Bats must do their part now.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2018 Author Posted June 3, 2018 Strat-O-Matic Report - Top of the 9th -- Escobar moves from SS to P, Petit in to play SS -- Brantley grounds out.Ramirez doubles to center.Encarnacion flies out to left.Kipnis grounds out to 2B. Holy cow, it worked! I gave Escobar the worst pitching stats possible and he only gave up one hit!
GCTF Verified Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Using your closer in the 9th inning of a tied game on the road? Can they do that?
Puckett34 Verified Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 I DEMAND A WALK OFF IN THE 9th!!!!I'll settle for a walk-off in any inning.
Puckett34 Verified Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 EDDIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jerr Verified Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Thank you Twins, I'm gonna yell at you more often!!!!!!!
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 EDDIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!An exclamation point for the game. Gotta appreciate good punctuation.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Hmm, Dozier coming up top of the Ninth? Walk off maybe?Sufficiently ambiguous. Therefore, I called it! (okay, okay, one batter off.)
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 That does not improve our record in one-run games...
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 It’s the shoes. Whenever i post pictures of my shoes, the bats do the thre trick! And I’m having all kinds of chicken for dinner tonight!
Puckett34 Verified Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 That does not improve our record in one-run games...But it does improve the walk-off record to 4-12
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Now let's continue rolling this streak against the tighty whities!
twinssporto Verified Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 I DEMAND A WALK OFF IN THE 9th!!!!Nice work Jerr!! Ask and you shall receive!
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2018 Author Posted June 3, 2018 Strat-O-Matic Report - Bottom of the 9th --Oliver Perez pitching-- Grossman strikes out looking.LaMarre singles.LaMarre takes 2B on defensive indifference.Garver walks.Dozier singles, bases loaded.Rosario strikes out.LaMarre scores on a passed ball, all other runners advance.Sano flies out in foul territory. Indians win 10-4. Box Score: Hits: CLE 16, MIN 9. Errors: CLE 1, MIN 1. Too bad the Twins failed to break into the Indians' bullpen this time, but they sure broke it in real life! I like real life Rosario much more than the Strat-O-Matic version of him!
jimmer Verified Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Can the Twins win all three games I go to this weekend? I say yes, yes they can!yup yup
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Like I said, yes they can!Like YOU said. a-HEM! You don’t get to take credit alone for that.
Darius Verified Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 What more can be said about Rosario at this point? What a monster. Also, $$$$$$.
Puckett34 Verified Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPw-3e_pzqU Then they take 3 out of 4 against the Tribe.
