Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Horrible lack of hitting with a man on thirdFTFY.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 pray tell...why?Perhaps Molly thinks that getting LoMo some time in the field might help him at the plate?
bighat Verified Member Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Nice catch on that foul ball, Grossman. Just kidding.
bighat Verified Member Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Grossman doesn't make the play on a foul ball, guy gets a hit the next pitch. Great.
OTPS300 Verified Member Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 they don't know if they're foot or horseback. They don't know if they are coming or going.

bighat Verified Member Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Seems the hitters have left a lot of runs on the bases today.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Seems the hitters have left a lot of runs on the bases today.RISP: 1 for 8 Yep. Yet another game with awful situational hitting.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Grossman doesn't make the play on a foul ball, guy gets a hit the next pitch. Great. ditto* *just going to type this after the first time I post you know what...
bighat Verified Member Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Molitor seems pretty set with this Duke-Reed-Rodney "rotation" in the bullpen. I know it looks good on paper, but what about bringing in guys to get 1-2 outs instead of going for them the whole inning? Lots of managers will bring in a pitcher to get one out, then bring in another guy to get the following 2 batters, etc. Has Molitor ever tinkered like this? Or is that kind of bullpen management too complicated for him?
bighat Verified Member Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Castro gunning down the runner, his defense is making a difference! The bad news: Rodney's going to face Pillar to open up the 9th. Oh lord help us.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 It wouldn’t have killed you to stop and check on the guy you just slapped in the head with your glove, Brian.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 RISP: 1 for 8 Yep. Yet another game with awful situational hitting.and that hit didntg drive in a run.
FunnyPenguin Provisional Member Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Alright boys, we need some insurance because we all know who's pitching next
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Jays have them right where they want them: RISP with less than 2 outs.
bighat Verified Member Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Kepler and Escobar, doing their best to get some insurance here!
jud6312 Verified Member Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Kepler and Escobar, doing their best to get some insurance here!If Rodney's coming in, it'll be needed.
TFRazor Verified Member Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Who made what deal with which devil? Three straight hits!!!!
wavedog Verified Member Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Station to Station again. I'll admit I am not watching the game so it may have been an easy out at home. But unfortunately Grossman is coming up.
jud6312 Verified Member Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 If I'm Good Fernando and it goes to the 9th at 2-0, there's no way I'm watching Bad Fernando come in and blow it.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Will they be able to score a single run after 3 straight hits?
wavedog Verified Member Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Alright Grossman - that's the way to do it!

But unfortunately Grossman is coming up. Watching the game and I think Kepler would have been dead meat at home. I was also frustrated they didn't go, but watching the replay I think he'd have been out. Not a great read on that ball.
