This would have been more appropos yesterday, but speaking of the Yankees, from 1998-2001, the twins were 15-20 against the Yankees despite the obvious talent gap (Yankees World Series years). Makes these last 10 or so years all the more astonishing

Apparently the Twins batting practice pitchers don't know how to do their jobs. Kudos to the Reds staff for feeding LoMo enough hittable pitches that he might be starting to get his rhythm back.

In 2014, Hughes was touching 96 at his upper range. The best I’ve seen tonight is 91. But there’s also a 1.5 mph adjustment from PitchX to Statcast. Therefore, Hughes has lost 6.5 mph on his fastball because of injuries. Perkins velocity loss was similar and he decided to retire.

Hughes will get either one more start or no more starts. Either way I think his career is nearly over.

Hughes is burnt. Much like the Kinley debate a few days ago, Hughes has no spot on a contending teams roster.

I am not surprised at all that Hughes looks awful. He's been a shell of himself the past two seasons, why would he suddenly be good this year? It's nearly time to eat the contract and move on.
