Applebee's? Godfathers? Pizza Hut? We had The Red Onion, and Ida's Cafe. And that was in the "big" town. The little town a couple miles away had two bars of course. Once I was 14 Pa let us take the car around the gravel roads to the small town. We had to promise to leave it parked in one spot once we got there.

Reading this made me think you’re from another country. Hard for me to believe there are places that still exist today in the US like that

My hometown only had a cafe and an A&W (which was only open in the summer).  That is why we had to do our fine dining in Ely or Virginia.  I think Andy Griffith also might have been our sheriff.

Then Godfather's Came in... Just a couple blocks from the high school. Godfathers also had Donkey Kong. 

 

We were so spoiled. 

Fun fact: The town I grew up in had one theater. When it changed hands, the new owners proclaimed they were going to be a "family friendly" theater.

 

First film they showed: Last Tango in Paris.

 

I had no idea I had that many years on you, RB. Donkey Kong didn't exist back when I was in high school. 

 

Instead, we used real donkeys.

Don't have as much problem with the Twins playing Castro every day because of his defensive value, but LoMo looks lost. At what point do you admit your wrong and call up Vargas. In my mind you give him another 10-15 games, and if this pace keeps up you cut bait

 

Agreed! The Twins are lucky to have snapped up Vargas again on waivers. They won 85 games last year with Vargas & Grossman DH'ing, maybe it's time to go back to that formula.

I'm not sure if I ever played it above 60. 

I'm pretty sure Chief never played it below 60. They hadn't invented the game yet when he was that age.
