Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2018 Author Posted April 10, 2018 In our house it's the other way around. 75 in summer, 68 in winter. (64 at night, except our bedroom is unavoidably colder than the rest of the house so it's probably closer to 60.) My wife doesn't let me touch the thermostat. This is the result of accidentally bumping it with my shoulder walking down the hall. She thought I set it at 90 and took away my privileges. ashbury, Vanimal46, LaBombo and 1 other 4
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 I'll watch him throw scoreless innings against potent offenses all season long ;-)Can't disagree with the results, I guess. I'll take it. Pelfry-like though. jimmer 1
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 (edited) We are 67 during the day in winter, 62 at night (thermostat downstairs, bedroom upstairs). We have daycare in the house during the day, so we have to maintain a minimum of 65. In the summer it is generally set to 74 days and 72 at night. If it isn’t too humid though, we’ll shut it off and open windows. Edited April 10, 2018 by yarnivek1972 Vanimal46 1

ashbury Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Not that I believe gameday is gospel, but they posted consecutive pitches by Lynn at 88 MPH. One they called a change up, the other a two seam fastball. If that isn’t wrong, that’s concerning to say the least.I see 92 on the teevee radar display. / And yeah, I missed that RB ninja'd me many minutes before I even thought to post. jimmer 1

Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Actually nice to see Sano not throw that.
BoofBonser Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 (edited) Wow, so Lynn's only going to go 4-5Verlander is in control Going to be have to be a grind it out win Edited April 10, 2018 by BoofBonser
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 I do 62 at night and have it turn up to 65 about an hour before I get up. Depending on what I am doing, will either leave it at 65 or put it up to 68. I am in an older place with radiators, so no central air, but window unit keeps it to 80ish if necessary so the fish don't die a horrific death. At this point I am not sure it is going to be above 50 again, so that might not be an issue any longer. Platoon and Vanimal46 2
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Lance on pace for the 202 pitch CGSHO... Vanimal46, Platoon, ashbury and 3 others 6
jimmer Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Actually nice to see Sano not throw that. why, he should have thrown it. He wasn't off balance and would have gotten him
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Lance on pace for the 202 pitch CGSHO...Bert is aroused thinking about the potential. LaBombo 1
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 It stinks that Lynn's already at 90 pitches, but he's held the MLB's best offense to 4 scoreless innings. He can't do anything about the offense's futility against Verlander.
jimmer Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Sano not throwing that is an error in any ballpark but TF
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Actually nice to see Sano not throw that. That was my thought as well, although it came after first thinking how that play made Sano look like a house cat that sprints into a room and then seemingly forgets why it's there. A really, reeeally big house cat. Vanimal46 and Platoon 2
jimmer Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 the coach is covering his mouth cause he just had a hot dog with lots of onions. ashbury, LaBombo and Riverbrian 3
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2018 Author Posted April 10, 2018 Sano not throwing that is an error in any ballpark but TF I'm actually Ok with that one... Tough play. Jake Marisnick has real good speed. Nine of twelve 1
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 why, he should have thrown it. He wasn't off balance and would have gotten himBecause earlier this week we saw him make that exact play and air mail it jimmer and Danchat 2
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Sano not throwing that is an error in any ballpark but TFThrowing it would have been more likely to be an error because the replay showed he didn't have a good grip on the ball.
jimmer Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 I'm actually Ok with that one... Tough play. Jake Marisnick has real good speed. but he wasn't off balance, he was going towards 1, and it wasn't a slow roller. Sano has a cannon. He needs to throw that one.
jimmer Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Throwing it would have been more likely to be an error because the replay showed he didn't have a good grip on the ball.yeah, and that would make it an error, right? That he fielded it and didn't get hold of the ball. that's not on the pitcher.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 why, he should have thrown it. He wasn't off balance and would have gotten him Would totally agree if he were running mostly toward first as he threw. But his deflection shot/leading the target thing when throwing across his body is still a work in progress. jimmer 1
jimmer Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Because earlier this week we saw him make that exact play and air mail itso it's a fielding error instead of a throwing error. either way, a guy is on base who shouldn't be.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 40 years ago it would have been hard to imagine that Blitzkrieg Bop by the Ramones would be mainstream at sporting events. Sometimes recognition of greatness comes after the passage of time. LaBombo 1
jimmer Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 it didn't cost us, so no biggy either way.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 No scorer is calling that no throw an error. It's a tough play
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Gotta know who’s pitching. The ump isn’t going to squeeze Verlander.
jimmer Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 (edited) No scorer is calling that no throw an error. It's a tough playThat was a tough play for a MLB 3B? Agree to disagree. He fielded it. If he doesn't get the ball stuck in his glove and instead grabs the ball cleanly and throws, the guy is out. Edited April 10, 2018 by jimmer
