Platoon Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 I played enough ball to know that there is no way I would want to play in these temps. Baseball is sort of a finesse game, and there's no finesse below freezing. Dave The Dastardly and jimmer 2

Dave The Dastardly Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 So far... I had the foresight to draft him in the 2nd round of my Fantasy Draft. I was able to ignore the noise of a bad spring training and made the selection. As of April 9th, 2018... I'm a genius. I was a genius once. Had to give it up when I got married. BoofBonser Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 I'd take a struggling Kyle Gibson over this struggling Lance Lynn Sheesh, throw a strike
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 You must be setting mine as well -- same thing.I remember thinking 75 was too hot to sleep as a teenager. Now I've changed my tune. Plus, 75 is a bit chilly when it's 100 degrees outside!
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 75 in winter ... no AC in summer ...Are you facing the lake to get a cool breeze? Otherwise I've got to imagine some nights are toasty warm.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Lance getting some very timely K's
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Looks as if this may be another Kinley gameGeez, it's scoreless in the second inning. ashbury 1
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 At this pitch rate, Lynn will be able to go get warm for the night by the 3rd inning.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Are you facing the lake to get a cool breeze? Otherwise I've got to imagine some nights are toasty warm. No, I'm not facing the lake ... I actually do have the AC on in summers because, yeah, the noise and the lights and the dirt/dust ... but ... I prefer it without AC. Platoon and Vanimal46 2
Dave The Dastardly Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Would getting hit by a ball hurt worse in the cold?I snagged a hot liner once in 35 degree temps. Didn't know I broke my hand until the game was over. So I guess it only hurts when you cry. Squirrel, ashbury, Platoon and 1 other 4
slash129 Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Lynn is harder to watch than Pelfrey ... Next in line, please. Vanimal46 1
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Geez, it's scoreless in the second inning.Yeah? and? Facing one of the best lineups in the league, and looks to be struggling with control
Blake Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Poll time! What temp do people have their thermostat in the winter compared to summer? For me, in the winter 68, in the summer 75.You live somewhere that electricity is affordable. 78 during the day and 76 at night. Yay programmable thermostat. During the winter, we keep the house warm, mid-seventies and let the temp drop overnight. Vanimal46 1
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Geez, it's scoreless in the second inning.JINX!!! TAKE IT BACK! TAKE IT BACK! ashbury, Dave The Dastardly and Riverbrian 3
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Looks as if this may be another Kinley game Geez, it's scoreless in the second inning. And Lynn has 4 K's in 1 2/3 innings. What does it take to be satisfied?
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 When Gardy brought in Guerrier to face A-Rod with the bases loaded in 2009 I think I never hated him more. I hated him because I knew what was going to happen. I actually went downstairs to get a beer and by the time I poured it into the glass and walked it up the stairs the bases were empty and the Yankees had scored four runs. I will say this about him. The guy has a genuine love for the game and he does a good job at the desk. Hard to say anything bad about the work he has done in front of the camera. I don't think there is anything phony about his baseball work.Still not as bad as when Molitor brought out JR Graham to face A-Rod with the bases loaded with a 3 run lead. Anyone could have seen the result of that at bat coming a mile away.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2018 Author Posted April 10, 2018 Yeah? and? Facing one of the best lineups in the league, and looks to be struggling with control Houston just isn't helping Lynn. When teams don't help they can make a pitcher look like they are struggling with control. Other Teams are usually more helpful. Platoon, ashbury and Blake 3
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Lynn is harder to watch than Pelfrey ... Next in line, please.I literally just got a text from a buddy in Minnesota saying he can't tell the difference between Lynn and Pelfrey. Let's hope we're not in for that kind of disaster. Platoon 1
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 JINX!!! TAKE IT BACK! TAKE IT BACK!Doesn't count as a jinx when it's in response to a questionable post.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2018 Author Posted April 10, 2018 And Lynn has 4 K's in 1 2/3 innings. What does it take to be satisfied? I'd be satisfied with a 0.00 Whip Blake and Mill1634 2
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 And Lynn has 4 K's in 1 2/3 innings. What does it take to be satisfied? Not even talking about the results. At this rate he is going to be lucky to get through 4 innings
