I played enough ball to know that there is no way I would want to play in these temps. Baseball is sort of a finesse game, and there's no finesse below freezing.

Would getting hit by a ball hurt worse in the cold?

You're right. I comes before R in the dictionary.

Poll time! What temp do people have their thermostat in the winter compared to summer?

For me, in the winter 68, in the summer 75.

75 in winter ... no AC in summer ...

You must be setting mine as well -- same thing.

I remember thinking 75 was too hot to sleep as a teenager. Now I've changed my tune. Plus, 75 is a bit chilly when it's 100 degrees outside!

Are you facing the lake to get a cool breeze? Otherwise I've got to imagine some nights are toasty warm.

No, I'm not facing the lake ... I actually do have the AC on in summers because, yeah, the noise and the lights and the dirt/dust ... but ... I prefer it without AC.

You live somewhere that electricity is affordable.

78 during the day and 76 at night.

Yay programmable thermostat.

During the winter, we keep the house warm, mid-seventies and let the temp drop overnight.

Looks as if this may be another Kinley game

Geez, it's scoreless in the second inning.

And Lynn has 4 K's in 1 2/3 innings. What does it take to be satisfied?

When Gardy brought in Guerrier to face A-Rod with the bases loaded in 2009 I think I never hated him more.  I hated him because I knew what was going to happen.  I actually went downstairs to get a beer and by the time I poured it into the glass and walked it up the stairs the bases were empty and the Yankees had scored four runs.

I will say this about him.  The guy has a genuine love for the game and he does a good job at the desk.  Hard to say anything bad about the work he has done in front of the camera.  I don't think there is anything phony about his baseball work.

Still not as bad as when Molitor brought out JR Graham to face A-Rod with the bases loaded with a 3 run lead. Anyone could have seen the result of that at bat coming a mile away.

Yeah? and? Facing one of the best lineups in the league, and looks to be struggling with control

Houston just isn't helping Lynn. When teams don't help they can make a pitcher look like they are struggling with control.

Other Teams are usually more helpful.

Lynn is harder to watch than Pelfrey ... Next in line, please.

I literally just got a text from a buddy in Minnesota saying he can't tell the difference between Lynn and Pelfrey.

Let's hope we're not in for that kind of disaster.

Not even talking about the results. At this rate he is going to be lucky to get through 4 innings
