jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 Colon brings the enjoyment of the game with him. I hope to see other Twins players fully enjoying their baseball, the simple pleasures of tossing a ball around, figuring out clever plays, etc. glunn and notoriousgod71 2
glunn Community Moderator Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 Kudos to Riverbrian for one of the greatest setup posts of all time tonight. If you have not read it yet then you should not miss it. I am also grateful for all of the other volunteers who have done a great job setting up these threads. I love Colon's attitude and hope that it's contagious. A young, talented team can catch fire with such an attitude. jimbo92107 1
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 This game better hurry up. Miss Piggy is on Johnny Carson in a half hourLol ... are you 70? glunn 1

A young, talented team can catch fire with such an attitude. One guy I wish could relax and enjoy himself is Taylor Rogers. He's always so tense on the mound, he doesn't look like he's enjoying himself. If I saw him tossing a ball to himself on the mound, that would be tre cool. PDX Twin and glunn 2
glunn Community Moderator Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 Do we want an insurance run here? Five has not been our lucky number.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 Lol ... are you 70?Not even half that! One of our local stations started playing Carson shows a little while ago. I've watched several episodes and while I definitely appreciate how popular he was, most of the ones I've seen haven't been all that great. But obviously that was a much different time. glunn 1
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 Yeah, we need the big FA or traded for SP...but I'm starting to like Colon for the 5th spot for next year. At least while May recovers and the kids gain experience. I just love watching him pitch and the fun he has. glunn 1
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 Funny how even as a fan watching the game while drinking on his couch, I can feel the team playing with confidence. Haven't felt that in a while. jimbo92107, Danchat, glunn and 1 other 4
S. Verified Member Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 I think he was out on that, but I agree that there wasn't clear enough evidence to overturn it. If he had been called out and we had challenged it, they wouldn't have overturned it either. glunn 1

notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 When Bartolo is on the mound I am fully engaged in every pitch and pump my fist or yell out in celebration with every out, something I haven't done since probably late in 09. He is must see TV for me and he has made me rediscover my love for the game. Puckett34, glunn and jimbo92107 3

Jham Verified Member Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 Agreed, though it's also funny how Mauer has been terrible at the plate for the last week during this stretch.I think Mauer is averaging more than 1 out per plate appearance since returning from injury. Not a huge exaggeration.
