howeda7 Verified Member Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 He did bat him third regularly. As dumb as that was, Redmond hit about 100 points higher than Giminez.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 Gimenez batting cleanup.....were Kevin Maas, Matt Merullo, and Scott Stahoviak unavailable tonite? Again, throw the names in a hat and see what gets picked out. I'm surprised Santana isn't DH'ing.
howeda7 Verified Member Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 So you want Giminez hitting leadoff, is that what you're saying?Sure. Or give Buxton a shot. Both equally viable to Molly.
spinowner Provisional Member Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 Good for your son for telling you something your brain hadn't already stored. One of my favorite nephews, he is! (I have four favorites.)Just don't make the same mistake that a certain someone did and refer to him as your third favorite nephew instead of your favorite third nephew.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 Gimenez batting cleanup.....were Kevin Maas, Matt Merullo, and Scott Stahoviak unavailable tonite?I don't know about the last two guys, but no Maas. No Maas. http://static.boxrec.com/thumb/e/ee/Roberto-Duran.jpg/200px-Roberto-Duran.jpg
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 Ground ball pitcher for the Twins. Yes, let's put a guy at first who has played there a grand total of 11 innings as a professional and just 2 in the last 4 years. Falvey and Levine knew Sano was hurt. They knew a lefty was pitching tonight. They don't bring up Garver or Vargas, why exactly? These are the guys that many say we as fans are supposed to blindly trust. I'm sorry. Tonight's lineup is an absolute insult to everyone who bought a ticket.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 Just got to the game, and now it's pouring. Good thing our seats are partially covered. Hope we can still play ball tonight.

Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 Actually, a rain out might be exactly what the Twins need tonight.I was about to say the same thing. Adrianza at 1B and Giminez at cleanup? No thanks.
S. Verified Member Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 This honestly has to be the ****tiest MLB lineup of the year. Adrianza at 1st base, Escobar in the 3 hole, Gimenez batting cleanup...what the hell is Molitor even doing?

S. Verified Member Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 Playing the players Falvine provided. So bat Dozier in the 3 or 4 spot. Bat Kepler in the 3 or 4 spot. Bat Grossman in the 3 or 4 spot. Put someone at first base who has actually played first base before. Give Mauer a different day off.

Always best if the players you don't want ejected aren't on the field for Joey Gallo's first at bat.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 I gotta watch this game now with that lineup... This is one of those lineups which poses so many questions that perhaps it is sheer genious. And how do i know it is not if i don't watch?
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 So bat Dozier in the 3 or 4 spot. Bat Kepler in the 3 or 4 spot. Bat Grossman in the 3 or 4 spot. Vargas should have replaced one of the 8 relievers that have thrown a grand total of 8 innings this week.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 If tonight's lineup isn't a clear example of Falvey and Molitor not seeing eye to eye, I don't know what is. Falvey knew Hammels was pitching. He knew Sano was hurt. Not getting Garver or Vargas up here is inexcusable.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 It's not raining, Mother Nature is pissing on this lineup.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 Always best if the players you don't want ejected aren't on the field for Joey Gallo's first at bat.Good grief, give it up already.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 Good grief, give it up already.Took the words right out of my fingers!
spinowner Provisional Member Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 BTW, for those (including me) who hadn't noticed, Granite sent to AAA to make room for Gibson on the roster.
amjgt Verified Member Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 A lineup so foul, I had to come smell it in person
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 A lineup so foul, I had to come smell it in personThat's the incinerator...
amjgt Verified Member Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 That's the incinerator...That's a great nickname for this lineup
spinowner Provisional Member Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 Adrianza no problem with that one. Of course, I could have fielded that flawlessly.
amjgt Verified Member Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 So far so good. Exactly like last night.
wavedog Verified Member Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 If tonight's lineup isn't a clear example of Falvey and Molitor not seeing eye to eye, I don't know what is.Falvey knew Hammels was pitching. He knew Sano was hurt. Not getting Garver or Vargas up here is inexcusable. We also had a couple of complete games pitched this week and a very well rested bullpen so there is no reason we need 13 pitchers.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 Always best if the players you don't want ejected aren't on the field for Joey Gallo's first at bat. I asked this last nite and I'll ask again....why is this a thing??
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 This is like Night of the living dead, Gibson will just not stay dead (in his minor league grave). When you think we're safe and he's gone he just reappears again and again.

Falvey knew Hammels was pitching. He knew Sano was hurt. Not getting Garver or Vargas up here is inexcusable.I mean, to be fair to Falvey, he didn't know Sano was hurt until last night, and didn't know the full extent until this morning. Unless you're saying Falvey is the reincarnation of Ms. Cleo.
mikecgrimes Verified Member Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 Good grief, give it up already. It's almost as if no batter has ever been thrown at in the history of baseball. I'm just being silly I know. I'm sorry I have an opinion you don't think I should be allowed to have. I thought we weren't allowed to make things personal but whatever.
