yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 I mean, to be fair to Falvey, he didn't know Sano was hurt until last night, and didn't know the full extent until this morning. Unless you're saying Falvey is the reincarnation of Ms. Cleo.He knew Sano got hit on the hand twice in the last week. Pretty safe assumption that we was a no go today and probably tomorrow. Don't need to be Ms. Cleo. Just need common sense.
S. Verified Member Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 It's almost as if no batter has ever been thrown at in the history of baseball. I'm just being silly I know. I'm sorry I have an opinion you don't think I should be allowed to have. I thought we weren't allowed to make things personal but whatever. Yes, you are being silly. Your arguments last night were that Gallo should've informed his manager not to do anything "stupid", in the middle of an inning, from left field. And then you were mad that a catcher stepped on dozier after jumping to catch a ball. And then you were mad that the manager challenged a very close play because his replay guy was probably unsure of exactly if/when dozier's cleats touched the plate. No one on the Twins was angry about the situation. No one on this board is angry about this situation besides you. If Gibson came out today and intentionally plunked Gallo, he'd deserve to be sent down to the minors for the rest of the year.Get over it. You're getting worked up over a situation you've manufactured in your head.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 Maybe the Twins will need 8 relievers tonight. Looks like The Dark Side of Kyle is pitching tonight.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 Earth to Kyle. Are you awake?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 So bat Dozier in the 3 or 4 spot. Bat Kepler in the 3 or 4 spot. Bat Grossman in the 3 or 4 spot. Put someone at first base who has actually played first base before. Give Mauer a different day off. Y'know, I can understand Mauer getting some time off. Especially against a LHer. Heck...I'd be in favor of Mauer getting MORE time off. But when the options available leave you with Escobar hitting third, Gimenez fourth, and Adrianza playing first base, maybe the manager needs to readjust his plan, which he said in pregame he'd been planning for a week now. For petesakes.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 Earth to Kyle. Are you awake?Unbelievable. And then a clown show in left center between Rosario and Buxton.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 Would Mauer playing against a pitcher that he is 0 for 12 against really be an improvement offensively? Defensively, sure.Personally, I'm not sure Mauer's an improvement over almost anyone, but over Adrianza? Yup.

yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 Does Gibson make it out of the 4th tonight? My vote is no.
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 Does Gibson make it out of the 4th tonight? My vote is no. Or even into the 4th?
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 Personally, I'm not sure Mauer's an improvement over almost anyone, but over Adrianza? Yup.Sure about that? Against Hammels? Or a lefty in general for that matter?
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 Twins are leading time of possession. Hammells 15 pitches, Gibson 39 through 2 IP.
spinowner Provisional Member Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 Andrus just got scrod by the home plate ump. Until we institute automated strike calling the best we can hope for is that both teams get scrod equally. Not the best way to run a game.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 So... This lineup was born out of necessity rather than a cunning plan involving a turnip. And i will be the only one holding my breath for an epic comeback.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 Sometimes, I squat down, put my arms around my legs, and lean forward as far as I can. That's just how I roll.
amjgt Verified Member Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 Hamels on pace for a 40 pitch complete game
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 Twins are hitting like they all have dates somewhere after the game.
Steve Penz Verified Member Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 So you want Giminez hitting leadoff, is that what you're saying?I can't speak for others but I feel Giminez needs to go now. Garver is wasting at bats at AAA. I feel that the baseball acumen of our FO is very high so I would appreciate hearing them explain why this move has not been made. They were sellers. Think about 2018. Get him up.
David HK Verified Member Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 Hahaha ... awesome start!Wish I could say the same for Gibby...

Falvine have done some questionable things this year, but I don't particularly think this is one of them.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 Cole Hamels is living proof why, when someone wants to trade you a really good pitcher for six minor leaguers, you do it every time. Every. Time.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 Game defining moment upcoming.

As for who goes down, I said it earlier. Anyone of 8 relievers. Most logically Gee, Busenitz or Boshers.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 Sweet pick by Polanco. Kid takes his lumps at the plate but he's got a pretty slick glove.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 Even Dick can't keep the disgust out of his voice. "...aaaand he walked him."
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 That would be a great play up 3-0. Especially with the clean up hitter due.
S. Verified Member Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 That was not even close. Not even Buxton gets a double on that.
Kyle DeBarge Wichita Wind Surge - AA 2B/CF On Sunday, DeBarge went 3-for-3 with a walk and a double. It was his second multi-hit game in his past three games. Explore Kyle DeBarge News >
