Never seen so many green crosses in my life!

 

No kidding! My wife and I freaked out traveling across Europe. The green cross over there is just a symbol for a standard pharmacy. Driving through tiny villages and seeing green crosses kind of freaked us out until we figured out that it meant something different.

traffic is terrible. We moved from hillsboro to the city this year, now I get to walk to stuff a lot. So, in many ways it is better for us now.

 

Is there a King of Portland or is Marijuana legal?

moderate weather (you don't hafta shovel rain!). as many weed shops as starbucks. and safeco/seattle is three hours away (four by amtrak). roll traffic and housing prices back to 1999 and making the move would be a no brainer.

We moved here in 1988. By 1999, our house had tripled in value and seemed very expensive. (Of course it's doubled again since.)

indeed. i bought in '99 and thought the days of bargain rates were already long gone. lucky us.

I've said before that I like LaVelle on the radio an awful lot, but when he said this morning that he's worried about BigMig, I had a feeling he'd start heating back up.

Impulse buy of the week: biscoff cookies. Saw them on the shelf, when I wasn't even looking for anything in that aisle, but just passing through to get to the front of the store and to check out, and there they were. Somehow they leapt off the shelf into my cart. Sigh. They are REALLY good. Might have to find a recipe for them.
