Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Joined the game late. What was the thinking behind belisle and his 8 era entering a 1 run game?I give up. What?
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 This has the looks of another game where the bullpen gives up eight runs.
Jerr Verified Member Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Watch the game thread go from 12 to 20 pages in 20 minutes.BONFIRE!!!!!!
DrNeau Verified Member Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Belisle. Why are you still in the game?! Tell me why!
Tibs Verified Member Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Belise is dfa'd, right? This dude is, has been terrible all year.I think he has to be. It's June 11 and his ERA is over 8 now. We can't keep using the couple bad games excuse at this point. No point in keeping him as a long/mop up man if he's going to be this bad either
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Very rare to see a reliever left in to allow 4 runs in the majors. Most managers with brains act
ahart10 Verified Member Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Can this finally be the end of Belisle as a Twin?We can only hope. Give his spot to some AAAA or an actual prospect. They can't do any worse
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Now? NOW?? Now you take him out? It's too late NOW, just let him stand out there until someone hits a rocket right at someone.
DrNeau Verified Member Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 First place, and we have this guy come in who is a sure thing cluster. So ridiculous.
DH_11 Verified Member Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Belisle should have been gone a month ago. He's horrible. Hard to dispute that.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 BONFIRE!!!!!!Yes, this is the reason Belisle entered the game. Congratulations on the winning answer....
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 I give up. What?I'm being serious, I didn't see yesterday's game and half of Friday's. Were the better guys unavailable?
Puckett34 Verified Member Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 But he's 4th in the AL in holds! And has veteraniness
amjgt Verified Member Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 I suspect Matt comes down will shoulder soreness tonight.
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Can you imagine the reaction from other teams/fans when the Twins trot out a guy with a ERA above 8 to protect a one-run lead in the 7th or 8th inning? They have to be equal parts baffled and giddy.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Castro sure has some troubles catching the ball this season.
Twinsoholic Verified Member Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Designate Belisle--like yesterday. Seriously, he has sucked except for his last outing. Clearly that was a fluke. The Twins have to do better than Belisle.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 I give up. What?Making the game more exciting?
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2017 Author Posted June 11, 2017 This is getting ugly quickly.
drjim Provisional Member Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 I'm being serious, I didn't see yesterday's game and half of Friday's. Were the better guys unavailable?Probably didn't want to use Duffey and Rogers and Kintzler probably were being saved for 8th and 9th. I get the angst, but not like Molitor has many options here.

Some fan bases would run you out of town for the in game management of PM
Darius Verified Member Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Why in God's name did they leave him in that long? I've been a huge Molitor supporter. But, you could pluck a member of an uncontacted tribe from the Amazon and get better bullpen management. This still goes back to the FO, who were touted by everyone as young pitching savants. Their one move was Belisle. It's going to cost this team a division championship and playoff birth.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2017 Author Posted June 11, 2017 Castro... what the hell, man?
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 two balls that were strikes. umpires..............
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 I'm being serious, I didn't see yesterday's game and half of Friday's. Were the better guys unavailable?I was being serious, too. I don't know what the thinking was. Have no clue.

Some fan bases would run you out of town for the in game management of PMSome of us were ready to run Molitor out of town for his in game management a couple of weeks ago. Well, one of us, any way. Okay, I admit it, I was ready.
DH_11 Verified Member Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Not to State the obvious but if we want to stay in this we need to improve our bullpen
