It would be nice if we could take out a starter after a terrific game, and have somebody, anybody out there in the BP who we're not quaking about bringing in.

In this case, I think it was time to pull him.  After he threw the 3-0 pitch for a strike to the last batter, he kinda shook his right arm.  You don't want to leave a guy in there to possibly give up a BS hit that might dirty a great start.  Keep his confidence high!

Haven't seen a Twins pitcher throw a baseball that well since pre-elbow Liriano. I was convinced that I might die before I see another utterly dominant performance like that out of a Twin.

 

That was fun watch.

8th inning, only 2 runs up, 105 pitches, and there's... booing about Molitor coming out to the mound to take the ball from the kid after he pitches a gem like this?

 

Do those people consider it an obligatory sign of appreciation, like loud belching after your German host serves an especially fine schnitzel but you're waaay too full for thirds, or do they really think it's a bad idea to pull the kid?  I know it's the 2nd game of a double header, but they used ONE relief pitcher.
