Didn't someone just tell me to wait until June?

Each cumulative start that's worse than the last accelerates the timeline.

It's easy to kick the can down the road when Gibson is having bad 5 IP outings. It's something entirely different when those outings drop to 2-3 IP.

High point today is Buddy Boshers - 2.2 innings of scoreless, HITLESS relief. Maybe he was the right one to bring up?

Maybe he was the right one to start the game.

Lolololololol that was the best thing I have ever seen. Strike out leads to 2 runs

Remember when we were 4-0 and the class of the AL. Those were good days, But who doesn't like flashbacks of 2016 Twins baseball??? sigh......

What's the punch line?  We need some laughter.

They both wear a glove on one hand for no reason whatsoever.

Two potential punch lines:

1.  (the conventional, heard it before punch line) Both wear a glove on their left hand for no apparent reason.

2.  (Chief's punchline)  Neither are major league baseball players.

If the Twins ever get out of this inning, Vargas better get at least one at bat

From your fingers to Molitor's ... um...

Nope, the analogy just don't work.

Dinger ... how about you play a rendition of 'Take Me Out to the Ballgame' as it should be? And not that other thing they seem to want to play during day games these days.

Unless Wet Willie was the mental image you were going for.

Just got back for a spin in the DeLorean from October 2020. The announcers were interviewing Gibson, who was in a Kansas City uniform.

ANNOUNCER: "So, Gibby, from outhouse to the penthouse! You just pitched the second perfect game in World Series history. What a story!"

GIBSON: "Yeah, it's been a great ride. Can't say enough about the Royals organization. They told me, 'Just do what you've always done,' and man, it paid off."

ANNOUNCER: "And you won the Cy Young last year, and most likely again this year, with maybe the MVP thrown in."

GIBSON: "It's all a dream."

Explain it to me.

Hey PMD. Great job. How has being a Cat Evangelist helped your career as a baseball broadcaster.

Also, do you believe this weekend series is the launching pad for Rosario making his All-Star Run? I do.

Sounds legit.

I was doing more than one thing at a time, so it's little wonder if something got lost in translation.

The (Jewish? Yiddish? whatever) quote I know of is, "from my lips to God's ear". I figured you took that and, I presume, adapted it to the Internet, where one speaks with one's fingers. So if it's from anyone's finger to Molitor's ear, I'd be concerned there might be saliva included: i.e. the Wet Willie. And then I remembered a band by that name from the '70s so I grabbed that as the visual instead of a literal one.

I thought I was going along with your lead, but then it got a little too complex to digest. :)

/ edit - I knew RB at least would know the band

/ edit^2 - a little googling revealed it mentioned in "The Taste of Yiddish by Lillian Merwin Feinsilver (1970)" https://english.stackexchange.com/questions/64936/what-is-the-origin-of-the-phrase-from-your-lips-to-god-s-ears
