I put on the Spanish broadcast for a larf, and for the life of me I can't understand the color guy. Is that Tony Oliva?

It's gonna be a long season if they can't start getting guys in from third base with fewer than 2 outs. It's starting to get really frustrating. How many men have the Twins left on base so far this year? Is any other team close?

Right now Molitor is using the bullpen phone to call upstairs to get Derek and Thad to give DanSan a Trout-like extension ... can't risk that arm walking away.

I'm answering my own question. Out of 30 MLB teams, the Twins are tied for 27th worst in left on base. Not surprising.

 

Ready for the surprise? The only teams worse than the Twins are the Red Sox, the Dodgers, and the Cubs. Whaaaat!?

My thoughts on the shin-high pitch Gibson threw to Avila:

I love how Kinsler likes to lecture countries where baseball is thriving about playing the game the right way, then tries to cheat his way on base by pretending he's hit by a pitch that bounces in the dirt.  In all fairness, he showed very little emotion as he faked pain and limped towards first...
