Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Twins win!! Was there ever any doubt?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 How many were holding their breath with Sanó chasing that foul pop?
glunn Community Moderator Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Another nice catch by Mauer wins it. Kintzler needs blister surgery.
glunn Community Moderator Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Twins win!! Was there ever any doubt? Yes.
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Just got here -- if someone would not have said something to jinx yesterday's game we would be 6-0 right now.
BoofBonser Verified Member Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 5-1 is an amazing start... we are unworthy!
glunn Community Moderator Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 How many were holding their breath with Sanó chasing that foul pop?I was worried about it bouncing off his head.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Day off tomorrow. Bullpen gets a rest, Kintzler gets a mani-pedi.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Mauer flashed the glove this weekend! Yesterday was bad, but I cannot argue with the results of today's game. Quintana is top notch and Santana out dueled him. MF'in Winnah!
fluger Provisional Member Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 What a great game. Love seeing Sano go yard. He's a gem.
Blake Verified Member Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Two takeaways: One: I can't hate on Mauer any more, after those great catches he made. Two: Kintzler and the team gutted through a game where Kintzler didn't have his best stuff. For whatever reason, in the early season, this team is not the team of last year.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 I think Joe was surprised he caught that one. Wow, we're 5-1! I'd like to see how this team will play against a playoff-caliber opponent.
Blake Verified Member Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Just got here -- if someone would not have said something to jinx yesterday's game we would be 6-0 right now. My fault, I was busy most of the game and the first 4 games I watched from the first pitch.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Fine defense again today. One day of bad defense-one loss. BTW-didn't hear from Chi-Town but if she did go to the game, it proved she's not a jinx.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 I am pleased that I did not need to use my other two wishes from that kind genie.

Yes, it's early to call this Twins team good or even marginal. The early indications are promising, however.
crapforks Provisional Member Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Hypothetically: If Kitzler goes down, does Duffy close? Pressly?
glunn Community Moderator Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 This is the first game that I have been able to watch in real time, and my heart is still pounding.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 My son just pointed out that the Twins almost have 10 percent of last year's win total.

Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 For whatever reason, in the early season, this team is not the team of last year. It isn't. The vibe and energy is opposite of last year. I'm not saying the Twins are going to be kings of the castle, but I think we can look forward to a summer of this team playing competent and competitive baseball. Man it feels so good!

twinssporto Verified Member Posted April 9, 2017 Author Posted April 9, 2017 Great Win!! I'll take credit for it. I think the team read some of my more inspirational quotes... Wish I could have seen it.
